What's Next For Hold Back To Block? (Patreon)

Hey all! 

Sorry that I've been a bit quiet since the KI doc release, I've been focusing on resting up as well as handling a bit of client work. I just wanted to say thanks again for all your help in getting "FIGHT ON" out there. It's quickly becoming the channel's most popular video and has helped the us get some great attention.

But I'm not for resting on one's laurels, so I'm already putting together the next couple of videos for the channel! Here's what's coming in the next few months.

Woolie Versus: Getting You Into Fighting Games

Our next feature is something I filmed way back last year while I was in Canada for Canada Cup. We're chatting with WoolieWoolz of Woolie Versus about his origins in gaming, being a part of Super Best Friends, and his work incorporating fighting games into let's plays and much more. It's a pretty fun talk that goes into the challenges of promoting fighting games to a wider audience, so look for it mid-July. 

Did Somebody Say Melee?

I'm also working on something Melee related. I've been trying to figure out what I want to do concerning Smash for awhile now. There are a lot of community pieces out there about players and events, but not so many on the tech that keeps a 20+ year old game going today. My plan is to take a look at things like Slippi (which recently added rollback to Melee) and UCF and possibly talk to the folks behind each of them. This is still in the planning phases, but hoping to have something out in August!

More Killer Instinct

I've mentioned it before, but there is so much extra footage left over from "FIGHT ON", a lot of it going in-depth on things we just couldn't fit into the main doc. I'll be putting together mini-docs around this extra footage over the next few months, the first of which is taking a look at Infil's KI guide. If you've never seen it, you should click that link right now and see one of the best fighting game guides ever made. It's really awesome, so I'm excited to cut together the story behind it soon!
