Charging up Front Policy (Patreon)
Content
Now that we’ve reached a point when we’ll be releasing the first game version this month, we’ve thought that it will be beneficial to change Patreon’s charge up front policy to ‘active’.
This means that, from now on, any new patrons that sign up with us will get invoiced immediately for the remainder of that month and then again on the first of every new month, until they choose to stop supporting our work.
Existing patrons (like most people reading this) won’t experience any difference at all: if you already pledged for May, you won’t get charged again until June 1st.
This change serves two purposes.
First, if you started to support us after April 30th you’ll get our first game version on May 26th, without needing to wait for June 1st. And you’ll also be able to take a look at all private Patreon posts that we’ve published to date,
which contain nipples and all the naughty bits Patreon doesn’t want us to show you out in the open :-P
Secondly, we will have a more accurate view at how our work is being received. Truth is, we care deeply about all the people that have shown so much interest in our project.
Even when we don’t have something playable to show you, you’ve chosen the support us and we’re deeply grateful for that.
Nevertheless, we’ve also noticed that about a 20% of patrons delete their pledges before they turn effective… and that is kind of disappointing to be honest. Not to mention it’s also unfair for the rest of patrons.
We’ve put all of our free time into this project for five months already, and we plan to continue the work for years to come. The level of technical complexity of this project is far beyond your usual Ren’py/DAZ game and
requires dedication and businesslike coordination from the three of us.
We don’t think anything more must be said. We’re all adults… I hope! :-D
That being said, we want to thank all the people again that have put their faith in us to deliver this remake of such an important game for all of us Perverts of the World. This will be an interesting voyage for sure… ;-)
