Hi there,

Our web site is now online at http://lokrebirth.site

It's running on a Raspberry Pi at my home. That means you'll experience loading times far superior to what you're used to. You may even see HTTP 500 errors (keep trying).

But you know very well why we've decided to go that route, so I won't elaborate on that here. I'll only say "Thanks Patreon" :-P

From now on, you'll need to download the game over there. I'll also refrain from posting new posts here.

And when I make sure all is running nicely, I'll remove ALL posts here. Patreon will only be used as a validation method against our own server.

Also, don't expect to see anything spectacular. It's pretty bare bones atm and it has only one test post.

Now with a little FAQ...

Q: Is the server open to all?

It is, but you can only comment on the posts and access Patron-only content with a registered account.

Q: So how do I register?

Actually... you can't! ^o^

Patreon will be used as a validation portal, more or less the same way as Facebook does for a lot of third-party websites out there.

Q: So... again, how the hell do I register?!

You'll see a little "Log in" link here...:

That will take you to a WordPress login window.

Do not enter any details here. You only need to click the big orange "Log in with Patreon" button.

If you're already logged in to Patreon (if not you'll be requested to log in first), they will ask you if you give our site permission to check on your pledge amount and profile info. Click "Yes" and you'll be returned to our page.

If all went well, you'll see that "Log in" link has turned into "Log out", and a small "Howdy <username>!" line shows up on the top-right corner. That means our server has created an account for you and bound it to your Patreon account.

By the way, you can edit your profile and upload a custom avatar if you like. State of the art technology, baby! ^_^

Q: I clicked on a "Unlock with Patreon" button instead. Did I messed up?

Not really. The difference between "Login with Patreon" and "Unlock with Patreon" is that the latter, in addition to ask your authorization to use your Patreon account to log in, it also ask you to update your pledge to a higher amount if it's not enough to see the content you were trying to unlock.

Q: So, can I still register to your site, even if I'm not your patron?

Yes. The only requirement is a Patreon account, even if your pledge to us is zero. That will enable you to make comments in posts.

Q: Man, I'm receiving a fuckton of errors and it's slow as fuck...

Yeah, well... I might consider migrating the whole thing to better equipment, but running the server on a Raspberry has too many advantages to rule it out without extensive testing first.

Also, I bet you guys will stress the small little thing when I push the "Publish" button and you go there en masse. When the waters calm down, this machine should be able to process the usual low traffic of a Patreon page.
