Q: Why haven't you finished the Alet demo already?

A: I'm sorry. The delay was primarily caused by a bane we failed to overcome so far: penis clipping with vagina and anus. We are implementing a new system to eliminate the mesh penetration between the genitals and it took way longer than expected. Our original plan was to release a demo without the aforementioned system in January, but we really wish you to see the improvements instead of simply switching Erika to Alet in the scene. Guess it's not gonna be a surprise now.

The work on textured male models also slowed down the progress considerably. That was part of the reason why we expanded the artist team.


Q: It has been delayed twice. Can you give a reliable ETA?

A: Though embarrassing, we'll probably ask for Erika (who is supposed to be out-of-office this month)'s help to straighten out this mess. We recruited a few professional animators last week and they are working on an off-plan update 1.29 with bug fixes and 10 new lab poses + 1 costume now. I am aware that many of you are hyped for Alet but hey, her debut must be splendorous and well prepared.

I believe that supporters who followed me for longer than a few months already know that I may be late to deliver, but I never ultimately fail to deliver the contents I promised. If you have pledged in either January or February, you will receive both 1.29 and the Alet demo as soon as they are ready.


Q: What is the sequel about?

A: A Lovecraftian sci-fi turn based roguelike game. Different H-scene is triggered depending on whether you win or lose a combat. Apparently if you lose, the sex will be non-consensual. More detailed info coming later.


Q: How's that related to Fallen Doll?

A: Alet is the main character controlled by player, as per the poll result. Fallen Doll is set in 2049 (a new Blade Runner reference) while the sequel being 2131 (same year with Rendezvous with Rama), so it's pretty much a far-off after story. You will get a firmer grip on it once the story mode of Fallen Doll rolls out.


Q: Wait...what about Erika?

A: She is still around. Erika now serves as a npc in the main base, providing information, support, shop & research service and, well, lesbian scenes.


Q: Any chance a new female character will be added?

A: One of Nyarlathotep's avatar, the bloated women, will be added as an optional boss. Of course we will only model the human form of the outer god. Imagine a voluptuous girl in an exposing china dress.


Q: So what is the focus now? Story mode? The sequel? Alet? That's a clusterfuck and I doubt you can manage on three sides.

A: We can't put the new recruits into the work right off the bat. Even the most experienced developers need some time to get familiar with the pipeline, especially for our type of game. By proceeding with what we have left of Fallen Doll, animators can get their feet wet in order to work with the more advanced and completed Alet rig, and by developing the Alet demo we can detect if the model and joints need revision and release updates while waiting for the preparation of art assets. This way we can have a smooth transition to the sequel afterwards, instead of not producing anything playable at all in the next six months until the pre-production phase ends.


Q: Why haven't you replied to my message/comment? It's been a bloody week!

A: There are still 60 responded messages in my inbox. I'll get to you asap. Also, if you want to file a bug report or have an important question, send me a message instead of posting in community or comment section. Otherwise there's a high chance that I missed it.


Q: Dat gun looks weird.

A: The designer worked on Destiny so I trust the validity of the layout. It's an off-hand only weapon paired with Alet's specially designed tactical shield. The design may make more sense when you see the completed combat equipment. Still, if you are a firearm specialist and find the mechanical structure absurd, we're all ears for detailed suggestion and happy to make revisions.


Q: Why didn't you say all these earlier?

A: Been busy as fuck. Literally.

Are the H-scenes for the demo/sequel going to be like Fallen doll, in the sense of customization options and free camera control, or static like an sfm animation?

Fallen Doll vip room/lab style. The downside is that there won't be much dialogue in the sex scenes since the camera is not fixed.

Sorry cause I'm sure you've answered these somewhere before, but I have a few questions about the sequel (I fully understand if the details for some answers aren't worked out): 1) Is the sequel planned to have VR support, and if so, is going to be the full game, or just an offshoot mode? 2) Is Alet planned to be customizable, and if so to what level? 3) Will the sequel have a deal like the $24 lifetime donations that Fallen Doll has? 4) Assuming the sequel is a success (and given the quality of Fallen Doll so far, I think it deserves to be), will the team continue to work on more H-games? and 5) Why are you beating yourselves up so much?? Being self-critical is healthy, but you guys do top-tier work for crowdfunding projects. Accept some credit where it's due! Sorry for asking so much! Hope you all get a chance to relax soon.

You guys are doing a amazing job. With what you have already accomplished you have set a new bench mark for alot of people... delays happen.. regardless of the reasons they will always just happen. Big AAA studios have delays and they have massive budgets, no cash flow issues, 10s or 100s of people working in individual parts of the whole.. most of us here support and totally understand you guys if there is ever a delay or a issue. I mean... it's a fucking game.... literally a game of fucking... a awesome fucking game.

Thank you very much for that clarification - it answers a lot of important questions! I am really excited for the Alet-sequel, sounds awesome! Just one more thing: What is the supposed plan for your patreons to get the sequel? Will it just switch to to the sequel at one day, meaning that continous support (e.g. student tier) will get me the sequel too at some point? Thanks again for the effort, time and all the work you guys put in that project!

Man Patreon went down into maintenance as soon as I posted my comment a couple minutes after this was posted and I just now noticed that my comment wasn't added. I appreciate all the updates although I personally wasn't concerned what was going on. I know you guys are doing your best and that just takes time. I just had one question regarding this Q&A though. What made you guys go with a turn-based system for FD2? How do you see it playing out?

I am a firearms expert. The only problems I have with the design is that there are a couple of extra bits that don't need to be there. The rear grip looking thing looks both weird and unnecessary. It also looks like where the magazine is. Have the magazine load through the front pistol grip and get rid of the back one. If it's meant to be used one handed, you can just straight delete the stock. It won't be useful in that role anyway. Or let it keep the stock but have it collapsed or folded away. Other than that, it's a few nitpicks but I don't expect my porn games to have sensible weapons.

Simple! We don't have the budget to make a fully fledged rpg or fps. Kidding aside, I don't think it'd be a good idea to divert our effort to aspects other than sex so we plan to keep the gameplay part condensed but still enjoyable.

1) All sex scenes will be designed for both VR and desktop version. It could take some efforts to make the combat mechanism work with VR, but we'll try. No guarantee tho. 2) To prevent her boob from clipping in combat, we will lock the breast size customization feature for Alet. Other than that, you are free to change her color/muscle etc just like in Fallen Doll. 3) Yes, of course. 4) Very likely. We make hentai games mostly for the fun of it, so monetary gain is not the primary motive. 5) You are aware that many of us do work for triple A titles irl right? So the bar is actually quite high for the work we are doing.

Since you wanted nitpicks about the gun: 1) It has a reflex/red dot sight, but also iron sights. Choose one. Both are unnecessary. 2) Rear grip doesn't do anything, except get in the way. If you want to make a bullpup weapon layout, get rid of the bottom bar and make the rear grip a magazine. But then it won't be an offhand weapon anymore. Or you could move the trigger to the back (google KRISS Vector for reference). 3) An offhand weapon does not need a stock. It achieves literally nothing. Stocks are for putting the weapon up against your shoulder/arm, helping to deal with recoil. i.e., it's a two handed firearm deal. 4) Is the front supposed to be a suppressor? Why would an offhand weapon need a suppressor? You could turn it into a compensator + flash hider instead (essentially a counterweight), and it might look cooler and less...erm...fluffy. 5) What is the front picatinny rail for? It's empty. Unless you are planning to allow us to add attachments to that area, remove it. That, or turn it into a foregrip, but again, that will imply it isn't an offhand weapon.

Once the first playable demo of the sequel is out, we will update the rewards list in correspondence with the new project, and it will basically be just like what we have for Fallen Doll. I'll keep you posted.

Biggest issues I have with the gun are: 1: The magazine and what looks like the ejector don't like up at all, and your ejector doesn't have a cocking lever or mag catch in case the mag runs out and you need to recock the gun without a round already in the chamber. The mag well is no where near where it needs to be, I get going for a bullpup style rifle or smg but this doesn't line up with anything, the mag is in the stock itself with no bolt pushing the next round in. So its either super duper technolgically advanced or its got an extremely long bolt that goes into the person holding it. Just put the mag well in the pistol grip and it'll be fine 2: If the gun is made to be used in tandem with a shield it might want to be thinner as its way too bulky (Height wise) in order to move and be comfortable. The stock should definitely be collapsible into the body of the gun. 3: if you're going for more of a PDW kind of firearm not a 2 handed SMG I would to model if off some guns like the PP-19 Kedr, H&amp;K MP7, PP-2000, or Mp9 for some inspiration or very obvious designs.

Hi guys - love your work (that's why I'm a patron :) ). Would you be as kind as to inform us eagerly waiting patrons: 1) When do you expect the full Fallen Doll (this current version) do be finished - are we talking months, half a year, or more than a year? 2) What can we expect from the story mode? Only the endless mode has been available in the posted updates. I also have comments or ideas for development. I noticed Cyan asking: "What made you guys go with a turn-based system for FD2? I fully support the idea of concentrating on the sex part of the game, since that's why I'm supporting the development in the first place. There are literally hundreds of RPG and open world games that let you do a lot of other things, but very few good sex games, so please concentrate on that. I don't mind Alet running around in a maze and battling a few monsters before she gets raped by them ( there are several dungeon crawlers with shoddy graphics that use just this concept), but what is interesting is great graphics and great sex scenes, not martial arts (we have Dead or Alive for that). What I am interested in (in the development of Fallen Doll 1) is just a variety of sex scenes and perhaps some more interactivity or creativity in the sex scenes (more stuff to do, including more toys - and those toys "available" in the game right now - most of them aren't really available in the versions you've released so far). You are probably aware of the japanese software company Illusion's games (VR Kanojo, Honey Select, PlayHome etc.), or games such as Custom Maid 3D 2, with which you compete in a sense, so in a sense, your game has to offer something "more" or different to be interesting (which it does, for instance the graphics are better here, and the camera control and zoom in also a little better). Another thing I hope would be possible in this game or its sequel is much, much more character customization. If you're familiar with the TheKlub17's illicit development of an older sex game, you'll know that this has the best and most sophisticated character (body) building system of any game (apart from maybe modded Skyrim). You can create any male or female character you want and dress them up in almost anything you want. I'd love if you'd make it possible with more customization options also for the Erika and Alet (and other sex dolls you might be thinking up for the game). Finally, consider this: Both TheKlub17 and Skyrim are examples of games that continue living and expanding because of modders and semi-professional programmers expanding on the game for free after the developers have finished development. But few software producers release enough information about how the game is built and can be modded. If (after completing Fallen Doll 1) you were to give out information as to how others may 1) create new backgrounds for the game, 2) new textures (body surfaces) and new meshes (body shapes), the game might develop and expand even after you finish development. There may be much more information you can give to modders without just publishing the source code for everyone's use (I'm not asking for THAT), and which would allow for better expansion of the game after you finish development, but are you willing to do this? You're saying that you make money to make games, not the other way around, and the development done after the game's release usually also boosts the sale of the original game, since at least some of the players actually pay for the game.

Would LOVE to see mod support, this definitely needs to be a feature for FD:2. Honey Select came out 3 years ago and I still sometimes play it simply because of the new mods people come out with.
