Finally got around to watching and your comment about the songs being long - for me, personally, the numbers just do not make sense. The songs go by so quick it’s insane like the first time I listened to Dear Love I thought the song was just 2+ mins long.

Yesss! I'm glad you liked the album! It's such a masterpiece of an album that I return to whenever I need to wind down from work. The vibes from this album is a masterpiece. I got my sister, a non kpop fan, hooked onto Dear Love too when I played it aloud. Some interesting facts about this album: Hyunsik literally composed, arranged, wrote the lyrics and played almost all the instruments for ALL the songs. The credits in his album was mostly him all over lol. He had also intended for the whole album to be a space-themed one so everything, and I mean everything, from the teasers, the design of the cd/album, the album goodies, the concert, and of course the tracks and sounds were all centred around the theme. It's crazy how much thought he put into it. You should also watch the free busking event he did for fans on YouTube! If you liked Black, you'd probably love how he was on his electric guitar for that song!! I know I went crazy over it. On his radio show, Hyunsik did reveal bits on how he works when composing songs and he said it really depends - whether it's the lyrics that come out first or the melody or beats. But I think he tends to writesongs based on what's the message he wants to send out. He's working on his next solo album already and it's going to be centred around the sea theme now since he is as obsessed with scuba diving as he is with space. He said he really wants the album to be good so I'm truly looking forward to it. Musically, I think there's still a lot more to hear from him and I'm excited for it. Whether it's in btob songs or in his own solo songs. Man is a genius as you said. He's always super passionate about music - I love how you can tell how he had improved in his craft over the years too and he continues to aim to improve on it.
