I kind of get it... but yeah, Gotham would probably better if a lot of Batman's villains ended up dead, I mean, you're right, how many times have we seen Joker in this series already? I forgot to mention last time but apparently when making the episode they originally wanted to show Robin's parent's actual fall, but the network forced them to re-do it to be less graphic, honestly I think it worked out for the best, seeing the frayed rope and Robin's expression is far more effective, Bruce Timm the series creator has stated he think the scene being altered turned out for the best and forced them to be more creative.
