Some people were pissed that they took up half an episode on a regular flashback for a character we knew was probably about to die (and someone we didn't spend a lot of time with). I was for sure one of those people lol But I realized that they probably did that so that they could have enough content to make the next couple of episodes fire from start to finish. Totally looking forward to it Also the fact that she just stood there as Yuta was telling her to run, which let her get hit. There's supposedly more context in the manga though.

I personally really liked the flashback as it gives some depth to Kugisaki's Character and helps to not give her the Sakura special that most females in shonen get. It was a nice change of pace and in stark contrast to Kento's trip to Malaysia. (RIP a legend)
