I like how this Alfred is corny. I like some depictions of Alfred where he is a former MI6 agent now Butler, but I do like the Father figure we met in Batman TAS and The Dark Knight too.

the Lion and the Unicorn are on the UK's coat of arms if you didn't know, they're the supporters of the coat of arms, so protectors basically. Honestly I can't think of a bad version of Alfred in any Batman series, they all tend to be good characters.
