Hey all!

It's that sad time of month again - Admin week.

I will say, it's an absolute LIFESAVER once again. I'm just wrapping up book 10 *sweats in two more chapters I need to finish this week*, and hopefully I'll be able to finish editing it, and getting it all wrapped and prepped during admin week. Book should be coming out in May.

I'm unlikely to do a preorder for it, given what happened last time and rumblings in the Indie community that Amazon has changed their algo once again. As usual, I'll make sure it's available for you all to download!

Admin week in May is the week of the 22nd.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I'm going to be moving in July. After a lot of back and forth and discussion, here's what I'm doing.

1) I'm pausing billing for the month - nobody will be charged for July.

2) I'm still going to post 3 Chapters during the month - an incentive for all of you to stick around and keep reading

3) August should continue as normal

The July move also coincides with my wife and I swapping some duties around, which should result in more time to write. I don't know how this will materialize on your end yet. More BTDEM chapters? Higher quality? Both, and the addition of starting a second project? The death of admin week? I don't know, but I'm excited to explore this next chapter in my writing adventure with all of you! I make no promises on anything (and who knows, maybe it'll just result in a saner author!), but I have high hopes.

I hope you're all doing well, and enjoying every minute of BTDEM!

Cheers,

Selkie

Another author I follow mentioned that when they paused billing for a month it prevented new people signing up, so might be worth mentioning elsewhere. Thanks for the story!

Even if I hate the Admin Week, I would suggest that you should not remove it, the risk that you Overwork yourself is just to great. I personally also have also no problem with the Quality of the Chapters. I would suggest a fourth Chapter, which is more loose in the planning. So that yes we could get a fourth Chapter in one Week, but only if you had the time for that. So that there can be a fourth chapter but with less pressure. I hope you can understand what I mean.😅

Cool. What are you thinking for other projects? If you are juggling more than one, a pole might be in order even if you warn that you are not bound by the results. Perhaps a more powerful fighter or you taking your own shot with a demon character.

Cheers to the wordsmith! Have a good sort-of-break-but-not-really.

Yo, Selkie. I don't think it'd be a good idea to change a schedule you've developed and learned to work with, unless you feel you really have the space for it. I'd rather just see a few extra words per chapter, or something. XD

For your own mental health and long term stability I would recommend that you keep the admin week, even if you are able to get everything done during the normal weeks. If you end up with nothing to do you can spend the time with your family.

No Chappie tonight? :(
