Three Square Meals - Chapter 161 (Placeholder) (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

I've been busy catching up on the previous chapters I owed you, and now we're all square once again. Unfortunately, that leaves me no income for this month, so I need to create placeholders for 161 and 162.

As I think I've consistently proven, I'm still constantly delivering chapters every month. I had intended to deliver at least three last month instead of two, but lost the first two weeks due to me catching Covid and one of my sons being hospitalised.

The rest of the Galkiran invasion is very complicated, with lots of scenes timed to occur at specific points for it all to make sense. Interweaving it with Tom's trial made it all even trickier, but again, that was for a specific plot reason. I've already sketched out a detailed timeline for all those scenes, which was why I was able to get chapter 160 written so quickly.

So I ask you to bear with me in January to finally get caught up. We're approaching the big fight between John and Gahl'kalgor, so I hope it'll be an exciting and satisfying read.

.197: we are halfway through the shortest month of the year, and I am left wondering just how much new TSM story could our recovering author, dear ole Tef, possibly gift us with this month, ... from no chapters to 2 chapters would be my best guess (got a very cloudy crystal ball on this one), so, we take what we can get, when we get it, and be thankful for it, ... .199: well, we are now 20 days into February, looks a lot like whatever we get from Tef this month will likely be on the 28th, ... (no leap year, this year), ... TSM #161 was about halfway complete before, so that will be a likely drop, but any other will be a toss-up, ... ;-) TTFN

Tef left a few teasers to coming attractions, like Irillith training with Alyssa and the Matriarch suggests to John that she is improving, .... So, some closing threads and some total surprises, with a Tef twist or two thrown in, .... can't wait, we do need our TSM ration, .... later gator, .... ;-) ttfn

I can't wait. I need my fix, .... so, get better soonest Tef, and don't kill off thousands of Maliri, they are true blue, good guys (gals), .... we miss you and your wonderful story, .... ;-) TTFN

.205: there has been some speculation regarding Tef, that he, might be, this month be thinking of dropping two smaller chapters (approximately 5K words each), basically splitting #161 into two halves, ... then he might need another placeholder chapter (#163) for income, ... might he do another two small size chapters (approximately 5K words apiece again) in April? ... then back to normal? Perhaps, .... this is just guessing, but it would let him catch-up, ... ;-) TTFN

This has been my fav placeholder by far. The others left me kind of flat, but this one has spirit. I can't wait for future placeholders as long as they're of this caliber.
