It's interesting, Ateez always spoke for years about Hongjoong's importance to the team but the more you hear about their trainee years the more you realise how instrumental he really was to Ateez' formation. HJ and Seonghwa once told the story of how right around the time the team was being finalized, staff sat all the members down and asked them what they thought about HJ as a leader. HJ joked that the staff were worried about his potential (and now infamous) "tyrant" tendencies lol. They said Seonghwa, who was usually soft spoken and quiet, spoke up in front of the company's vice president really intensely / strongly, saying "If hongjoong isn't our leader, then there's no reason for any of this. This team might aswell not exist." I swear Hongjoong's life trajectory sounds like a movie!
