Oh man, that was such a good time! Very funny but also very touching which is the sort of content I thoroughly enjoy! As always, I so enjoyed hearing your thoughts, especially in regards to how much food and smells can connect us to good memories. My mom is a really great cook so it's hard to pick what dish I love most (especially since I became a vegetarian in March so no more of my mom's amazing meatloaf for me lol). If I had to pick one though, I'd pick my mom's sweet potato casserole which we only have for the holidays. Most sweet potato casseroles have marshmallows on top, but my mom makes it with pecans, brown sugar, melted butter, and crushed up corn flakes. It's not an overly complicated dish by any means but it's always been one of my favorite things my mom makes! (And now I'm counting down the days until Thanksgiving!) My mom is also a damn good baker and I have so many favorites from cookies to pies to cakes. The decorated cookies we make for Christmas (and other holidays if we're feeling indulgent...) are cookies my mom has been making since she was about 8 years old. How cool is that?? I do think you should try and make goulash with your mom some time! My mom and I cook together all the time and it's a lot of fun (when we're not having to shoo her dogs away from the kitchen 😂). Also your cat throwing a "tantrum" about being stuck in the room he chose to be in and you calling him out was so damn funny. I have so many conversations like that with my cat lol. He is very, very, very vocal and isn't afraid to voice his displeasure with me when I'm keeping him from doing something he wants or when he wants attention 😂 Sorry for the lengthy comment! Can't wait for episode 2! Really hope they release more episodes eventually because I definitely need more of this show in my life.

nothing is better than curry. i will have any type of curry in any time of the year. all curry is good curry. i want that to be my last meal. who ever invented curry deserves a nobel peace prize.

U scolding your cat was everything hahahahaha. And Yes ! U have an aspiring stay right here 🙋‍♀️ so I'm rly looking forward to more skz content too hehe . To sort out the pork-lamb confusion, the curry had pork hahaha. Anw for me the dish that always reminds me of home is steamed crabs🦀 (my family always had this on special occasions) and breakfast sausages that I always had when I was younger. 😅

As of the filming of Mysterious Kitchen, yes Han and I.N were roommates. The other room pairings were Lee Know, Hyunjin & Seungmin together, and Chan, Changbin & Felix together. They have however since moved to a new dorm where they each have their own room (Apartment 1 is 3Racha + Hyunjin, and Apartment 2 is the other four.)

My Dad's side of the family is mainly Ukrainian, but his parents weren't really great cooks lol. I do have some very good memories of my Baba's (great grandmother) honey cookies and perogies though. She'd always have this massive spread for us when we went to visit (about a 3.5hr drive away at the time). My Mom's side live almost exclusively above the artic circle (Inuit); What I mainly remember is the bannock, arctic char stew and roast caribou. I would definitely go crazy if I had to live up there full time, but I'd love to visit more often than I do. It's just so expensive to fly up there.
