Prince, the members participated a lot in this album! Hyung line (Ravn, Seoho and Leedo) contributed a lot as lyricist and composers in almost all the songs of the album! And even Hwanwoong participated in the choreography of Luna! Leedo wrote the lyrics for 6/7 tracks of this album (minus Who you are), Ravn in 5/7! We're in love was wrote by Seoho, Leedo and Ravn and composed by Seoho and Leedo! It's amazing, isn't? Ravn self wrote and composed Yes or No, the continuation of Polarity from the latest album Binary Code. You can see a lot of references in the lyrics in both of them.

Gonna be honest I didn't even know Crazy Hot had an english version lol. I feel like it doesn't hit as hard as the original

There's not a single ONEUS album that follows a central theme or sound. DEVIL has BBUSSYEO on it, for example, and NO DIGGITY is its title track. ONEUS' goal with their releases is always to have variety and not just stick to the same thing. Even their lore, which they help create, is multilayered. They could have just been royal monarchs or just stuck with the supernatural and been vampires, but they decided to combine them and mix in some Greek and Norse mythology on top of it.I gave up trying to predict ONEUS long ago lol.

I don't often see kpop reactors talk about the cohesiveness of an album, so I really like that that's something you commented on here. Tons of variety on an album can be great, and it's really important to make sure the songs don't sound too similar, but feeling some sense of cohesion from front-to back definitely bumps up an album for me. Most of my top favourite albums of the year have that quality to them. Regardless of that though, there were some really good tracks on here! I'm not very familiar with ONEUS, but I checked this out because of how much I fell in love with LUNA and I ended up really enjoying Life is Beautiful and Who You Are.

For me, Oneus’ b-sides generally feel pretty cohesive within their albums, it’s the title tracks that feel more like the outliers. Not that that’s inherently negative, I’ve loved all of their albums; i just kind of expect that the titles aren’t necessarily indicative of the overall sound of the album. “We’re in Love” is definitely the winner on this one for me, although i have to say “Who You Are” has grown on me in a serious way! (And I was very happy to see the lyric video for that one was a Minsoft vid…they consistently do such a great job!)

To be honest I feel this album is very cohesive. Luna is the story of a flower with a bloom so rare and that only happens at night showing it’s love for the moonlight. I I feel this a a metaphor for a love so rare and strong that it transcends time (those all the time traveling metaphors in the MV). Which ties in perfectly with the rest of the album.
