I have a very similar ranking, would probably put cosmos second after AuRoRa though based on my emo taste and the gorgeous lyrics ha ha. Top 3 tracks AuRoRa, Cosmos and Rain to Be all being Kanghyun tracks so that makes sense in terms of my personal taste! So glad you were able to explore some more Onewe b-sides!

My ranking will be AuRoRa first, than Cosmos, Rain To Be, Veronica, Logo, A.I. You should check out the acoustic version of Rain To Be! It’s also very good!

Kanghyun's versatility is always so impressive! He posts short clips on their official twitter and he does EVERY genre, you want jazz? he's does jazz. you want metal? yup. I especially love that when they do alternate versions of their songs he'll change up his solos for the version (for example, 4 versions of Parting = 4 completely different solos he arranged). Best guitarist in Kpop for sure! Love seeing you get blown away by him again and again

I love this album, and Cosmos is on top, undeniably. The vocals are so beautiful, but it's the way the instruments are weaving underneath for me. The bass while Yonghoon is vocalising, the piano during Cya's part alternating between heavy and delicate, ALL OF IT. This song is pretty much perfect for me. Aurora might have been my top one for the album, but I knew it live before the album came out, and so the studio version doesn't quite live up to the live performances... it's a good problem to have, but it keeps me from loving it as much as I could. If you want some more info about any of the tracks the highlight medley they did for the album would be worth watching. They do little acoustic snippets and talk about the tracks. Maybe not worth saving for a reaction, but good if you're curious.

Thank you so much for this, I'm glad you liked the b-sides as well! I feel this album showcased Onewe's sound the best among their discography. I gave up ranking them because I can't decide and I just end up listening to the whole album in order either way but Cosmos and AuRoRa are definitely up there. I love how the entire album captures the cosmic themes so well, in both the music and lyrics. Kanghyun, being Onewe's resident space boy, wrote most of the songs. This is an album that's largely produced by all five of them so it's really special. Cosmos's melody was originally meant for a song Kanghyun wrote for his mom but it came out much better than he thought so he used it and changed the lyrics to show the grandness of the cosmos, and how it would speak to us. LOGO is a track that's been in the "Onewe song dungeon" for years. They first performed it when they were still trainees and remained unreleased for a long time. They said they worked on it with the fans in mind because it's a song that Weves have been waiting to hear for so long. Harin and Dongmyeong participated in writing the lyrics with Yonghoon. It was Steven Spielberg who finished the A.I. film! haha The Korean title of A.I. is actually "Robots Can Feel Emotions Too" and it's originally a hip-hop rap song that CyA did with Leedo, uploaded on CyA's Soundcloud. They recomposed it in Onewe's style, mixing some jazz and city pop sounds. Dongmyeong helped in changing some of the lyrics for it and suggested doing the scatting for the interlude. I agree with checking out the highlight medley on your own time or their two-part album production process video for Planet Nine called "Make a Sound" if you're interested to know more about the inspirations behind each song and how they shaped the album as a whole. Onewe's very generous to share when it comes to how they produce their tracks that they even do separate lives where they show the demo/guide versions.

I know you have listened to some songs now but actually this album is the best when you listen to it whole in order and without shuffle / skip. Not only from intro to rain to be, I think every song transition well from one track to the next. And if put on album loop, cosmos transition well back into the intro, so listening to the album as a whole is quite addictive to me. LOGO is more about themselves, wanting to present their group as a "brand" or logo, something that people can remember by for a long time! A.I. 's original song (cya's soundcloud version) is waaay more direct than this one, and it's really just about robots having feelings for human. Thank you for reacting!

The last lyric of Cosmos is more accurate in "I'll name the small flower that longed for you, cosmos.". I think this song is completed with this lyric, so I leave a comment in insufficient English. If my comment is rude or weird, please tell me.
