in my view, it's simple to see why strey kkds was last, he was out of tune, you might think that this is not a big deal, but they are singers and it's not fair to put a singer who is out of tune in front of another who sang correctly just for the sake of it clubbing. I love the boys, but it's only fair that the technical judges left them last since they made a mistake in vocal technique 🤷🏻‍♀️😅😀

not gonna lie, I stopped watching the full episode after episode 5 The competition aspect, which was the main premise of the show, just sounds like bullshit to me now loool Now I just watch the performances and yes, I would love to see another 'review' for only the performances I myself used to stop watching the episode once they reaches the performances, went to youtube to watch the whole version without reaction, and went back to the episode to rewatch the performance again with the commentary

I also agree with you on iKon's performance of Inception, they kinda took it a bit too far from the original for my taste BtoB's Back Door is so gooood, it kinda went into my top songs in general this year hahahahahaa

Definitely sceptical of these 'experts' especially seeing as the self evaluation ranking was almost the opposite and reflected my own opinion more. Experts putting btob, sf9 and skz last when they were the most enjoyable for me.

I had a hard time giving a definitive ranking this round but my top 2 were BTOB, SKZ, middle 2 ATZ and SF9, then last 2 IKN and TBZ. The episodes really start picking up here. The interactions between the groups in ep 6/7 are so fun.

You definitely weren't crazy, I'm a fan of most of the groups in kingdom so didn't come in with much bias and my favourites were BTOB and Skz, have no idea who these experts are!

I honestly wasn't feeling BTOB much in the first couple of rounds, but they totally changed my mind here with this performance. That was incredible. I'm watching Kingdom with absolutely no bias since I don't know much about any of the groups, and I thought the same thing about the expert ranking. No way did BTOB and Stray Kids deserve that

You're not crazy. I thought Stray Kidz, BtoB and TBZ were top three. Or perhaps we're both crazy? This ranking sequence really compounded how dumb this show is. At the end of the day it's impossible to index performances that are...well, subjective. Whether it's pitting fanbases against one another, relying on judges to dole out points on unclear criterions, or having teams vote against each other, it's never going to feel right.

I hate that I.N's voice crack and all that got to him. I think he did really good and tbh the voice crack was one of my favorite parts because it felt really raw and overflowing with emotion. It actually made me feel more into the performance. So I absolutely HATE seeing him beat himself up.

That's how I felt. It was the end of the song and you're supposed to be belting, giving it your all and evoking desperation. His mistake worked well with the tone of the performance

Yeah after seeing the expert rankings for round 1 and 2 I figured that the experts literally have no standard criteria for judging. It's probably based on their own criteria, which would vastly differ from each other. So I completely stopped with the rankings and I just kinda fast forward through them instead of waiting for them to be called now. I can't wait to watch your reaction to ep 6 after I babysit!

I know this is far from being relevant still but after rewatching this episode along with the reaction I figured I’d drop my ranking for the covers round as well: 1. Ateez 2. BTOB 3. The Boyz 4. SF9 5. Stray Kids 6. IKON

While I love and adore StrayKids, them being in my top 3 groups, and I really loved their performance of “I’ll Be Your Man”, I have watched it many times since the show aired. I can see why it was placed last, even if I think it should’ve been fifth. If you rewatch, aside from the I.N. vocal issue, Lee Know also didn’t sing super well. Plus the whole “devil sacrifice” thing was a bit corny and the choreo was sloppy. The city falling could’ve been done to look way better, instead of like kids blocks falling over, just with a bit of shaping and paint. Plus people watching live didn’t have subtitles telling them what the Devil thing said. So it was kind of just growly noise. BTOB should’ve gotten fourth at least on Minhyuk’s body alone.

I don't know if anyone have said it yet cause I just watched it now and realised you've been asking about it in a couple episode. Skids is actually just SKZ with different spelling. Their abbreviations in korean is seu-ki-jeu, comes from the seu in seu-teu-re-i (stray) and ki-jeu (kids) so basically the english abbreviations is S-Kids. But why it becomes SKZ is because in Korean the sound of "ds" and "z" is the same so they use SKZ instead of SKids. And when they mention the boyz (deo beo-i-jeu), stray kids (seu-teu-re-i ki-jeu), and ateez (e-i-ti-jeu) together, they called them ZZZ (jeu-jeu-jeu)

Again, I know it's late, but I didn't see it mentioned, but the boy in the video is suspected to be a representation of Hyunjin. I think that they placed last because MNet knew what SKZ was doing and disapproved. Hyunjin's ring is around the statue boy's neck because the members are all wearing theirs in the performance.
