Firstly, thank you for your lovely response to my comment on the Juri painting. You're always so kind and I really appreciate you taking the time to read my stupidly long comments 😸 It is also so great that you take on all feedback, sometimes I feel like a nuisance when I make minor critiques 😅 But they are only minor! With those little shadows added to Juri, she goes from a 9/10 straight to a 10/10! 😻😻😻 I'll be very excited to see the final Juri versions and the other lingerie designs you give her 💜 As for this painting, I really like the cool, desaturated feel to it. Given how hot it's been recently, I definitely appreciate this cool, pale scene 😹😻 The background textures look gorgeous, I enjoy how the clouds fade into the blue sky, as well as how you can see the sand beneath the water, as the beach blends into the sea. And the more vibrant colours of the characters makes them stand out very nicely against this soft background. Looking at Nami, her orange hair stands out beautifully against the pale blue sky and you've done a lovely job defining and detailing the hair. I especially like the clear contrast in tones, with the hair being warm and bright on top, as darker shadows wrap around the lower half. The details on her t-shirt are lovely too, with tight, creased folds running across her midsection and the way the blue trim wraps around her sleeve and conforms to the shapes of her breast. I like the different textures too, with the white being smoother and softer, while the blue has more of a subtle shine to it. The way the light falls on her skirt is great too, with the alternating light and dark tones showing the plane changes of her hip and bum-cheeks through the material. The way the shadows wrap around those light tones does such a lovely job defining the peachy, overlapping shapes of her bum. I also like the yellow edge-light that wraps around her lower bum, contrasting with the shadow there and further defining the shapes. What we see of her body looks lovely too, her legs look beautifully smooth. The way the bright, pale skin-tones blend into the warm, dark tones is perfect and makes her legs look so sensual. Likewise, her arm is lovely too and I do like the bright, white edge-light running along the top, adding some extra pop there. And a couple of great details are the shadows that the sleeve and skirt cast onto her arm and thighs, showing the material overlapping her skin and adding more definition to the arm and legs. And lastly, her face is just adorable, I really like how the shadow is cast across her forehead and eyes, contrasting with the brighter tones on the lower half. Nico looks absolutely marvellous too! Her hair is also so nicely painted, with the colour looking gorgeous too. This dark, sea-green hair is very well defined and I really like the shine that runs through the fringe. Her blue clothes look gorgeous too. The very smooth rendering of her bra, with a sharp shine spot on the breasts, as well as this vibrant blue glow within the shadows gives the material this really interesting texture. I kind of want to describe the material as looking juicy, it's tough to find the right word 😅 But the way the material glows, shines and looks so smoothly blended is just a delight. And the details are great too, like the creases in the material beneath her breasts. As well as the shadows that the bra and criss-cross straps cast down onto her skin. I really love her skirt too, the white, fluffy parts are really nicely detailed and defined, with the blue material looking so lovely. The folds here are beautifully painted, I love the way the folds zig-zag and the way they're rendered. The bright blue lines along the tops of the folds, with deep blue shadows between them just give the folds so much depth 💙💙💙 The lighting across Nico's skin is really lovely also. I like the contrasts in tone across all of her, with her chest/breasts being quite bright, with her skin growing steadily darker further down, being darkest on her feet and underside of her raised thigh. This gradient from light to dark across her skin just looks so lovely and you've done a great defining her body across these different tones. I really like the softer, more subtle light that runs along the top of her raised thigh, blending smoothly into the very dark shadows on the underside. While the bright glowing light across her breasts blends so nicely into the subtle shadows that wrap around their undersides too. Her face looks so adorable as well, I love her glowing, shining silver eyes 🤍🤍 And the spot of light on her nose makes it stand out against the surrounding shadows, while her smile is just so cute and sweet. That smile, along with her eyes makes her look so captivating, while I love the tease of how her skirt sinks between her thighs, as well the way her bra wraps around her breasts, adding further definition to them 😻😻 (I know I bring it up all the time, but those little cast-shadows make such a huge difference and they look so good here! 🥰🥰🥰) Wonderful work on this one, Didi!
