I've been doing a lot of behind-the-scenes sketching lately, trying to figure out what my next couple of pieces could look like.

I put together the tropical pseudodragon (Artstation) recently and started working on a desert version (Twitter thread)! I'm 50/50 on if the WIP image will actually be the final, but it was a fun afternoon of experimentation. Either way, I'm definitely planning on finishing the desert one at some point, even if the design changes a bit.

Experimental pieces like this in my personal work come and go very often. One of the harder parts of balancing personal and work art is knowing when to step away from something, and to allow myself to make the decision later of picking it back up again or choosing not to.

Either way, these unfinished pieces are important (Twitter), even if they're never complete. Don't be scared of WIPs!  They inform and guide the rest of our art. <3
