I've had SUCH a blast freelancing, and I wanted to share some of the work I created for the awesome upcoming game, Mirador! Sauropod Studio was so fun to work with, and I hope the game really takes off on launch. (This isn't a sponsored post, I swear... I'm just hyped and I want to show what some of my freelance work looks like!)

You can check out their gameplay reveal trailer here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-zKzBXQx3g

We first worked on polishing the rough character designs for two of the main player characters. They're so cute!

The final designs:

Some of the visual development for the dog:

And some of the development for the bird:

I was having so much fun with the bird character that I did a quick doodle with one of the color variations that didn't end  up bring the primary choice in the final design ^_^

Burb frend!!

I also helped to design some props for these characters- I absolutely love designing props because you can play with shapes so much.

The last piece we collaborated on was a paintover of an environment screenshot. Paintovers take up a lot of my work across my various contracts- to design armor for characters, to figure out materiality and texture styles, etc. I really enjoy these because they set up the structure and I get to just play with the details!

I first explored two different biomes- one green and lush, the other cold and windy.

And then here is the final image, which is used to inform the modelers as well as for marketing purposes :D

You can view all of these on Artstation as well:

Thanks for checking it out! You can also wishlist the game on Steam to stay updated with it's development. I wish the Sauropod team the best of luck with their project!
