I just got a job this month with my city's post office as a mail carrier! I'm incredibly excited about it, I started training this week and been hitting the ground running. It's gonna be full-time and hopefully be the job I have until I hit retirement.

I'm sure folks are wondering why I was looking for a job and what this means for my Patreon and me drawing in general. I was incredibly anxious but excited about diving into full-time self-employment back in 2019, I had a very cheap living situation then so I was able to build up my customer base here and through commissions to start making enough cash to get by and even save up some money. And as my income increased so did living expenses, medical bills, and taxes. Each year was starting to get tighter and tighter financially until I was having to use my credit card to pay some of the big bills. I tried not to increase prices on my commissions or here on Patreon much but with the workload I had given myself with weekly pics and monthly reward pics I wasn't able to fit anything else in to increase my income stream.

So I found a full-time job, one with health insurance and a pension and other benefits. Things I wasn't gonna get from being self-employed. I'm still worried about income in the short-term but I know this is the right decision for me and I'm looking forward to where my life goes from here!

Since it's gonna be a full-time job I've had to decide what I'm gonna do here with my Patreon. The monthly content I put out now is not gonna be sustainable with my new job, so I'm going to close my Patreon at the end of June. I will do one last monthly series and a batch of reward pics for June then that'll be it. It will most likely take me longer to get those done but I will make sure they get completed.

As for commissions, I will take on fewer than I usually do but still take some on the side. This will also mean more time for me to draw personal art! I've been sitting on a webcomic idea that I'd love to put more time into and hopefully make it.

I'll still be around on Furaffinity and Twitter. I'm not going anywhere, just posting less often cause I'll be delivering mail all day!

TL;DR - I got a full-time job so I'll be closing my Patreon at the end of June. I'll still do commissions but as a side gig, still staying active in the furry community

Thank you to everyone who has supported me here, I've had a great time drawing for a living and I'll continue to draw lots of fatties in the future!!

Never commented before, but congratulations to you! Being a postal worker can be a lot of work, but as you said, the benefits are quite good. I hope that the decrease in living stress (e.g., bills) allows your creativity to flourish the most as you get to indulge more in your personal pursuits. Good luck, and we look forward to where you go from here. :)
