For some reason, Long fond himself not in the afterlife, ready to be sent to his last master by the gods. But instead, he found himself in the place, between places. 

Luckily for the dragon. There seems to be a different god, willing to “show” him a new master he can do anything for. It just isn't the tradition type of servitude, the cocky dragon was known for.
