Cornwall also has copper, however it wasn't discovered until the late medieval period. I do find the idea that Cornwall was a couple of shovels of earth away from being the most powerful ancient civilisation rather amusing, however.

Fun things about the presidents, hoover got the blame for the great depression bc of how lazzais faire his economic policies were to the point where shantytowns were called hoovervilles. Teddy was responsible for for a lot of American imperialism like the Panama canal. A lot of fun political cartoons of teddy actually where he's just a face on a boat
