Hello!

So as it is still currently May in approximately half of the world's timezones, I should probably get started on the May Patroncast.

Just in case you're new, the Patroncast submission thread is where you get to ask questions, suggest topics, or join me in celebrating the arrival of the sun in the UK, after a May in which it seriously never stopped bloody raining.

So ask away, and I'll update this post when the Patroncast is recorded, so as long as there isn't an edit below saying that, everything should be good :)

EDIT - Sorry folks, the Patroncast is recorded, so further comments can't be included.

All the best,

Jon

Jon! How do you play games seeing as you're an egg carton and you don't have any hands? Forgive me if this is offensive. I don't know many egg cartons.

This is not a question, I already asked a question earlier the day this went up, but I know this is a forum where you’ll see this comment as opposed to a YouTube comment. In your mass effect 3 8 hour long video, you seemEd really confused why Shepard fixated on the dead child, having nightmares etc. As someone with PTSD, I can say with confidence that you can experience a similar traumatic experience 100 times and on that 101st your brain can just fail to process it in a healthy way. Technically those first hundred traumas were doing damage to the way your mind processes that trauma, but often it goes unnoticed until the damn breaks. Secondly, and my PTSD is not combat related so I have to repeat the sentiments of my friends who have served, but seeing civilians die is so much worse than seeing soldiers die. A soldier signed up to be there, they had a fighting chance. The civilian didn’t. As a soldier, dead civilians normally means you fucked up or you failed in the worst way. And I felt it was important enough for you to understand that’s what was being portrayed very well, that I brought it here. Thank you for your time.
