Many A True Nerd Patroncast - July 2015

Welcome to the first of what will be a monthly Patroncast video, exclusively for our Patrons. Starting off, I've got some thoughts on how I can spend more time on the channel, what I like about Nicole, and what the next Why Not Wednesday is going to be.

As long as you're happy with doing youtube, then this should be a good change for you! I wish you luck, too! Also, I just love the Nicole run because of you pointing out the problems with the plot/concept and doing something different from other youtubers I see. And while I understand why you can't do weird Dating Sims all the time, I hope you do another at some point. Deadly Premonition counts as something similar in my mind, though, because it's so weird and you point out just how odd it all is. I'm a classics major, too, so I would LOVE a classics project from you.

Thanks for the video, it's more insightful about what's going on in the world of MaTN. Whilst I would love to say "Whoo, More Videos" (and whilst I'm 100% sure you of all people could make it work), I'd like to just add a bit and ask if it's sustainable in the long term for you. Whilst it's a great experience in the short term and I'm sure people from all over enjoy your videos, there's always a couple of issues in my mind. I've seen over people switch to focussing purely on videos to find themselves burn out all the quicker... and whilst people have been saying that the youtube bubble is going to burst soon (touch wood it doesn't), be sure to keep any skills honed/don't burn any bridges in case you ever need to fall back on them. Edit: But as everyone else has said, as long as your happy and you look after yourself health wise, I'll be one of the ones to fully support you :D

I appreciate this YouTube Era may be only a temporary thing, like so many websites. I'll keep one foot in work, and also look to make contacts in the game industry. It's just that my current job and YouTube combined is too much - I need a different job to facilitate me doing what I love.
