- Added: Keybinding for deleting the current path
- Added: Keybinding for deleting the active node on the current path
- Added: 3 camera position save slots (Ctrl-F1/F2/F3 to store, F1/F2/F3 to recall) when the camera is active.
- Added: Camera shake controls in both manual movement (for hand-shot videos) and camera paths.
- Added: Support for the IGCS Connector so you can create automated horizontal panoramas and lightfield screenshots, as well as Reshade support per camera path node.

v1.0.3: - Fixed camera for patch 1.0.4 of the game
-  Camera movement/rotation/fov interpolation factors. These factors can be used to make the camera movement/rotation/fov be interpolated over multiple frames so you can get smooth camera movement, rotation and fov zoom in/out for videos without the need for camera paths.
v1.0.2 Added more camera write blocks for certain sequences and also added a more generic range limit remover for the photomode so the range limit is gone now specific restricted areas it was previously still in effect. Also added a fix for when the custom camera wouldn't work in the photomode
v1.0.1: Added more camera write blocks for certain sequences so the camera should be moveable in more cutscenes/restricted areas.
v1.0.0: First release

I can inject no problem and it shows in game, but when I start up the camera nothing moves. Tried re-configuring the keys but it doesn't make a difference. Not sure what to do to make the camera work

ODINSFALL

Awesome thanks

Awesome stuff as always dude! Do you know what I’m doing wrong I can’t use the free cam during cutscenes 🤔

Otis_Inf

It might be there are special cases. I'm not that far into the game, so it might be there's special code used in a couple of cutscenes. But it should work in e.g. the start menu, does it work there for you?

Anonymous

Nicely done! :D

Anonymous

Awesome as always!

khalid

Finally i can finish it, thnx

Anonymous

Perfect opportunity to begin NG+ 😁

Anonymous

thank you for such awesome tools. check the photos i taken with your tools at my instagram account: eos_vp (if you want)

Anonymous

these tools are incredible. I'm experiencing a weird issue on some 21:9 shots where I'm pushing the resolution pretty high and the right side of the image will display a black bar

Otis_Inf

You're running the game as windowed? (and then use the fake fullscreen button to set it to fullscreen)? I also use 21:9 and hotsample to 6K but haven't seen problems like you describe... You use reshade to take the shot or geforce experience?

Anonymous

I was using geforce experience. Seem to get fine results up to 8k but anything past that will show up with a portion of the image missing or showing up as a black texture

Otis_Inf

That might be a limitation of the engine/game? 8K is kind of huge.

ODINSFALL

having a little issue with the Leviathan axe not working when dll is injected. just hangs there when thrown. couldn't see a mention in the documentation, so just thought you should know - edit: it's only when hiding the HUD.

ODINSFALL

NVM, just seen i hadn't turned automatic updates off, so suspect that could be the issue

ODINSFALL

Cool cheers

Just a thought here, Ansel has great tools, any thoughts on trying to enable Ansel capabilities into games that do not have it?

The Explorographer

Also, are you using DSR with hotsampling to get the higher resolutions? The reason I ask, If I run my monitor in 2K, then switch to let's say 4K hotsampling the images becomes large and off centered so much I cannot line up my shot. Fake fullscreen, Windowed, borderless or not. So how are you getting around that?

Anonymous

You have to choose your point of view before hotsampling.

Otis_Inf

Ansel's tools as in Freestyle effects you mean? As the camera tools I offer have more functionality than what ansel offers... I always use Reshade and its effects for adding effects to a shot, which is the 'big sister' of freestyle effects (most of the effects in freestyle are ported from reshade, and freestyle is made by the same author). https://reshade.me

Otis_Inf

What Yogg said, you setup the shot on your monitor in full view (so pick a resolution of the aspect ratio you want that fits on your monitor), then when you're satisfied, hotsample to a high resolution for the shot, after the shot is taken, resize back to the normal resolution

The Explorographer

The way Ansel handles Supersampling, upscaling, HDR is better though. Maybe things you can improve on in the future. Just some creative feedback. What is easy for you, is not necessarily easy for others. Getting overly technical interfaces helps open the creative flow better. Just offering some perspective that's all.

The Explorographer

Okay, what I said above still applies. Why the 6 steps? Wouldn't it be better to have a hotkey that just Snaps the photo at the desired resolution and handles all of that for you? Seems like a bunch of steps just to get an upsampled shot. Also, bump your mouse or hit the wrong key then start over. None of which lends much to the creative process.

Otis_Inf

My tools don't take a screenshot as it's often complex to do that (grab the framebuffer) and when you apply effects using e.g. reshade you lose those. upscaling through ai is something nvidia does with neural networks, I'm not able to do that. their superres approach is ok but often fails as it breaks screenspace effects. My tools offer hotsampling functionality which keeps all the screenspace effects.

Otis_Inf

I'm sorry but what's the desired resolution? I often take shots in different aspect ratios and different resolutions related to those (e.g. 1;1 will require a different resolution than 21:9) ? You also ignore the fact that grabbing the framebuffer isn't 'simple'. Especially if I add my own depth of field effects through e.g. reshade: I then have to make the shot through reshade, not through my own code as that won't contain the effect I just added. In theory, you're right. In practice, it's not doable. I don't operate at the level where the game calls into my api, like with ansel, I have to add my code to the game.

The Explorographer

Thank you for clarifying. So what are you using to take your shots with then? Capturing through a capture card?

Otis_Inf

No, not at all :) I use reshade for that. Reshade is a wrapper around dxgi, basically it sits between the game and the graphics api. So what it does is it renders a full screen layer on top of the game's framebuffer and applies all the effects you enable on that, so you can add depth based effects like depth of field and others to the image. Then I hotsample to the resolution I want, and press printscreen. Reshade will grab the framebuffer with the effects I applied and save it as a png to a folder. I then switch the resolution back to the one I use for gameplay. :) See the reshade guide on the framed site: https://framedsc.com/ReshadeGuides/setupreshade.htm And e.g. the guide of my cinematic dof shader I wrote: https://framedsc.com/ReshadeGuides/Shaders/cinematicdof.htm

I'm finally here and got chance to support. I've been using UUU over a year did a lot of videos with it. Because of my local laws I was not able to recieve my youtube earnings and with a recent new law, last week I've finally recieved my earnings and today I'm happy to be here supporting your awesome work. There is something I wanna mention, a suggest for GoW but a very specific one so it is not that important for general photo shooting. If you can add an option to change NPC teams and make them battle each other that would have make awesome photos and videos. Seeing how you managed to freeze NPCs, that gave me some hope. Even though it probably has nothing to do with changing their teams. Thats all from me, thanks again for your amazing work and have a wonderful day.

Otis_Inf

thanks :) Freezing the NPCs was an engine thing (there are a couple of values controlling the animation speeds of various elements), and not related to how they behave towards each other. I haven't seen any faction settings per npc, to be honest. I can't give you any hope on this, as I am currently not looking into it, but perhaps one day.

Thanks for this. I am encountering an issue with the camera paths window. I click the toggle to turn it on and it shows up in my Windows taskbar but the window itself is no where to be found. Clicking on the taskbar thumbnail does nothing to bring it up... Here is a screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/04u079pace08nj0/Screenshot%202022-02-07%20170119.jpg?dl=0

Otis_Inf

Never saw this.. when yuo restart the game, and the tools the camera paths window is still gone? Might sound stupid, but you use msi afterburner? If so, could you test by not using afterburner and then start the game + tools ?

Yowza5891

No I don't use that. On a whim, I turned off one of my monitors (I use 3), started the game and then the tool and the camera paths window worked. Strange!

Otis_Inf

Hmm. Perhaps for some reason it was outside the desktop? In any case, I have no explanation, so your guess is as good as mine! :)

Yowza5891

So... more issues with this particular tool. When I ALT+TAB to go from the game to the tool the game automatically goes to the menu screen. With this screen on I cannot activate the camera tool nor the HUD removal tool. I tried turning on the camera/HUD tools before I ALT+TAB to the tool window and this works (I can now tweak the camera paths) but when I return to the game window I must deactivate the camera/hud tools in order to leave the menu screen and return to the game. Sorry if I'm not making sense... Basically I don't see a way to use the camera paths tool.

Otis_Inf

read the readme, it's a game menu setting: go to the game settings, then switch that setting off

Yowza5891

Thanks again for making this tool. Here is a video I made using it if your interested: https://youtu.be/o5Pl-xa5XE8

Hey Frans, sorry for more messages, I dont suppose you know why Ansel just freezes randomly whilst playing GOW and some other games, it works for a time then jsut stops all input. Thanks!

Otis_Inf

No, for ansel stuff you should contact nvidia but as no-one in the ansel team answers to anything I doubt they'll give you answer :)

FeudalWarriors

Cheers Fran! GOW tools will not allow me to inject the dll. usually after I select the game exe it highlights red. However, it remains grayed out. Could you please troubleshoot asap thanks mate.

FeudalWarriors

I’m not understanding what you mean brotha? I purchased the game through steam. Was it not the official game ? I’m still new to pc and everything please help me understand.

Otis_Inf

If you got the game through steam then it's the official one, but you shouldn't run it as administrator. If you do that the client can't pick it up. You run the game, wait till the menu is there, start the IGCSClient, it'll have selected the process and you then click inject dll

FeudalWarriors

Okay I’ll give it a try now. Bless you fam. Thank you
