Modding Diary - Balloon Popping Animation (Patreon)

Hi Guys! I hope you all had a fantastic week!

This week I started working on the balloon popping animation for the gender reveal party. and it is 90% finished so far. I can only show you the animation in blender right now since I haven't ported it into the game yet. 

at the beginning of the interaction both sim will stand next to the balloon. 

When this interaction starts it will attract near by sims to stand in front of the balloon to watch the balloon, so just imagine our sims here are looking at their friends and families 

the sim on the left will hold out their had

they would both take out a pin and prepare to pop the balloon as they count down together

and they reach to pop the balloon

the vfx of the smoke and graffiti has to be added when I put the animation in game, so we have to just use our imagination for now

both sims will be very excited for what they see

and they go in for a hug

and that's the whole animation.

Next week I will put the animation in game and add the smoke and graffiti vfx. I actually couldnt find any blue graffiti in game and Ive probably looked over hundred of vfx now😩and the pink graffiti I found....is barely pink. I know there is a vfx tool for the sims4 and I'm going to see if I can make some vfx overrides with it.

I want to thank you all for your response to my modding diary post last week! I know gender reveal parties are not something everyone is interested in and that's ok, some features are going to be more appealing to some people than others, but as always, I try build my mods in a way that is not intrusive to the player's game play, so if certain features isnt to your liking you could just skip them and you will not be forced to engage in them.
