Hey guys, just want to say thank you all for the amazing support !I've had a lot of good opportunity to practice , I'm very thankful for that. Looking back to the month where i took some time off, i feel like I'm able to be more creative when I have more time to think and come up with ideas. Especially for original art. I would like to pursue my original stuff more not that I'll ever stop creating fan art from time to time.

I would like to hear what you guys think, I changed my patreon to per term instead of per 2 weeks.

the only difference would be, there might be month where I will only release 1 term (so from start of the month to the end of the month) . But lets say, if I'm feeling especially inspired I will release 2 terms . But 2 term is the max I will ever release per month.

If I only release 1 term per month I will consider adding some additions goodies in :)

Thank you guys for the support , please let me know what you guys think, if you guys are okay with it, I need your feedback because my patreon only exist because of your support and I want to keep enjoy creating things that you guys want to see ^_^

This term (term 30) will last till the end of this month . I don't feel like I can create a second term for the end of the month and I don't want to rush it^^;; .I will try to throw in some bonus goodies before the end of the month thou :)

ps. I am still getting back to those of you who have messaged me, sorry for the wait , I will get to you asap before the end of this month !

I think it is reasonable. I learned a lot form you too, and this is one of those cases where I would say, less is more. 1 term and more creativity is definitely great!

Anonymous

Changing the Term sounds like a good idea to me. If you can be more unique and creative... Do it! The wait will be not easy but I think it will be worth it.

Anonymous

I've been following your artwork for a while now, and only recently became a supporting Patreon, and in my opinion, that is a wonderful idea. 1 term a month would allow you rest while being able to think of more, colorful, creations. I'm greatly supporting it. 👍

Anonymous

Sure thing. Hopefully this gives you more of a breather too!

Anonymous

I personally love watching your original art videos. It's really nice to hear you explaining your thought processes and watching you explore :)

Anonymous

Absolutely good. I feel that you have pushed yourself too hard last year. Take your time to rest or spend time w people. And artists are sometimes very fickle; if you are in the mood of doing two term per month, do it. If not, then its okay. As long as you are healthy and give us good stuff, i am okay

Robert Tempest

I think its a good idea. Relax a little, take a break and focus on your own stuff if thats what you really wanna do you know

Anonymous

I like the sound of this. Thanks for the update!

Eric Whitmore

I think that's a wonderful idea! I love your fan art, but I want to see more original work from you. I can't wait to see what you have in store!

Anonymous

I am perfectly fine with that. As long as you don't go over 2 terms in a month I am perfectly fine with my pledge. And I'd rather you have fun and give us what you want as opposed to trying to churn out terms faster than you think you should be.

MGL139

I think this is a great idea.

epyon_avenger

Do what works for you! We'll still be here supporting. ^_^

Anonymous

I think that's great. It's good to work at a pace that suits you best. Hopefully there are no overwhelming requests on our behalf. We'll always want you to stay, and hopefully it'll be a long while b4 yoy retire. ;)

Anonymous

I love this approach. Doing what you think is best for you to do more original art. I dig it! Be yourself and have fun! You know we are too loyal to not want more original work anyway! Haha.

Anonymous

Sure, don't burn yourself out! I'm more interested in your original artwork anyway, and if it takes more time then that's fine by me.

Shadowknux

this idea is fantastic

Anonymous

Brilliant idea. I love your Fanart but your originals are the most inspiring. I would rather see your extra creativity and mind blowing quality over you concerning yourself about quantity. I look forward to seeing what this extra time does for your work!

Anonymous

Per term is a good idea, so you don't have to pressure yourself so much and what works for you! Keep up the good work!~

Anonymous

Do what you feel is best for you. I'm all for it!

Anonymous

I say one huge term so that you don't HAVE to fill that quota of 2 nsfw's, 2 tutorials, etc etc AND it'd be easier to create new tiers if you so wish! Just create a month full of the content you think we'd all love! I also love your originals much more than fan arts to be honest, it shows off your potential as an artist.

Anonymous

I love your fanart and original creations. and I am totally ok with 1 term a month. Do what you love and dont get burned out on it.

Anonymous

Honestly what ever works for you, works for me :D it's better to ration yourself anyway and not have that stress! Though on a side note I would like more voice overs partially cause I prefer listening to your voice xD good luck!

Anonymous

I would be cool with that. Also if both Angel x Demon sexy pairs are inspirations to you taking your time than I'm totally in with this plan :)

Anonymous

Go for it sakimi-sensei!! 🙌🙌

Anonymous

If it helps you in your creativity it is the best you can do! I love your fan arts but I love you original art too! You always surprise me with your own creations! So go for it! I will keep following you!

Anonymous

Indeed so! It was always a concern that you might have been pushing yourself more than is healthy, but it wasn't anyone else's limit to set; this new format allows more easily a sense of calm and without rush, I think, which is certainly more desirable than maintaining the rigorous schedule prior to the revisions. /salute

Anonymous

Agree, I will love see more concept arts. Like, you pick somethings and then we vote for things like (medieval, sci-fi, male, female, a dinosaur...hahaha) and then you create a concept character. It would be so amazing I love your fanarts but this way we can interact more, see your vision and see more from your stuffs. :) I love concept art and sketches btw.

Anonymous

I love your art. Just do what you want to do, I will always support you.

Anonymous

I'm supporting you as an artist so you may keep doing what you like to do, if you want to make things at a slower pace and more of what you want to make, then by all means do so! If you want to feel energetic as well, then do it :D! We're all here supporting you because you're a fantastic artist, I'm sure I speak for most people here in saying I don't mind if it takes a month, you keep making your art whether it's your own or fan made and we'll be extremely happy either way. A happy artist makes for happy work! -End Rant XD

Anonymous

I say do whatever feels comfortable to you. I know that I will support you no matter what :)

Anonymous

Sounds good to me. It's important to work on personal projects, and I'm sure you need the time for it.

Anonymous

Do whatever you wanna do, we all support you and your art! Don't stress or overwhelm yourself. Live life! 💜

CJoe

I totally agree with your decision. I'm sure that quality over quantity is the best way for you to really express your talent. Your last pieces are the demonstration of that. I'll raise my pledge to take the change into account so there won't be any loss.

DarkTownArt

Working your own pace is a lot better than rushing it!!

Anonymous

Do what you what to do. Its up to you on how you feel; if you are only going to do 1 a month then its OK, if you do 2 a month then great!

Anonymous

I'm happy with your decision. I would rather you keep enjoying what you do than to start dreading it because you feel you have to do something and have a certain amount done.

Frank Leo

When you have time, can you please tell me what "exact changes" have taken place for "my tier's rewards"? ... thank you.

Maximillian

That is a very agreeable way of doing it. I'm sure everybody will be just as happy if it means you get to do what you do best without the risk of stressing yourself or feeling like you have to rush any art to meet a deadline. If you're enjoying yourself, working at a more steady pace, and you're getting to express your creativity a bit more, I believe that is that a good thing, and we'll continue to support you on it.

Anonymous

As long as there is still content, I will always support. If this is what you feel like you need to do to prevent yourself from getting burnt out or uninspired, then I am all for it. I can't wait to see what you have cooking up for us in the future!

Anonymous

I'm with everyone else. I would rather quality over quantity. I would also like to see more original stuff from you. I remember not long ago, I was going through my favs on DA, and I got to the part where I was searching/faving a lot of dark fantasy and goth type art. And I was surprised to see that you had done several of the pics in that group of favs. I like the fanart and everything that you have been doing, but I was kinda hoping I would get to see you do stuff like that again. The current works are very nice looking, but the old ones had more depth. I would rather have 1 term per month with pics like that than to have you stressing and getting burnt out trying to put out 2 terms of pics that you just aren't feeling. (I always wondered how you were able to keep up with 2 terms per month, plus everything else.) At the end of the day, it's up to you and what you want/need to do. I/we are just along for the ride and support you because I/we love your art and look forward to seeing what you do next. ;)

Anonymous

Always going to be behind you. ;) Do what makes you happy. I have always been here because I truly love your art style and find all of your pieces beautiful and amazing. Keep up the great work ^_^

Anonymous

Yep, I told you before that this is a better idea :) I'm here to learn, it's not helping me if you create lots of art with the same quality/elements/other. It's better to create less art with more creativity and better quality etc.

Anonymous

One word: "draw"

Anonymous

100% agree and love this! I second what others have already said. :)

Anonymous

This it is 1 term a month (instead of two), I completely agree. ;) I prefer that he(it) have fewer drawings there but that to approach you it more serenely, and I am certain that drawings will still be better

Anonymous

I think this is a good idea. :)

Anonymous

I agree with this 100% as well. =D A firm believer doing what you want so you can continue to love what you do. Everything you have released has been awesome and like everyone else has said as well, Quality over Quantity. =) Thank you for the opportunity at feedback on this as well. Not many would even give the time of day for such a thing. \o/

Justice Crescent

As much as I love your fan art, getting to see some of your more original characters had been a joy and can't wait for what else you can create!

Anonymous

what are goodies ? but i sure am fine with it sakimichan :) i love the art you make and even if you release sometimes only one term i dont mind that :)

Anonymous

I think you should do what you're more comfortable with. If you feel that moving in the direction of per term is the way you want to go, then you should do it. It sounds like that your art is going to greatly benefit from you having more time and not needing to cram so much into a month. There are only so many hours in a day, after all.

Eric Bloxsom

Patreon is a great platform for creators and fans alike, but I do see, if one is not careful, they will reach their burn out point much faster than they thought when they feel like they have to deliver content they feel is equal to the amount they are being pledged. I'm surprised a lot of the creators I support lasted as long as they did when they started seeing large pledge numbers. That isn't to say they're skills were not up to the task, but instead they want to please the fans that are willing to pledge every month, almost a form a guilt from not feeling worthy enough of the attention. I would say you've gone WAY WAY above and beyond for your fans in regards to quality and even quantity. I would be more than happy to receive a fraction of what each term delivers to us monthly, and still continue to pledge what I believe to be not nearly enough in proportion to what your creations are worth. You do what you need to for you, I know I'll be here no matter what you decide is best for you. Stay creative!

Spartan277

You do what ever you want, Personally I'd love to see some projects that last as long till you are finished with them.

Anonymous

I support this motion.

ShyGuySpirit

I would say, 1 term per month. Giving yourself time to relax or more time to do your work. It will be less stressful for yourself as well.

CosMos

just do so :) i prefer no pressure on u and nice artworks - once per month is enough ^^ - relax and enjoy drawing!

Ciarán M

I'm totally on board with this, whatever is best for you and helps you to enjoy it.

Anonymous

I say to take your time and produce work you're satisfied with rather than trying to release a quota on a schedule. Doing that will suck some of the vitality and joy out of your work as it causes unnecessary stress.

Anonymous

Sooo Cloud, Thumby, the yaoi and yuri duo, and whatever else is coming all belong to the same tier this month? So I'm only paying once? o.oa

Anonymous

This sounds great. I'm eager to see more original art from you Sakimi. And having one term/two terms depending on your time/creativity/happiness etc. sounds like a good idea and I will definitely continue to follow :D To be fair, in my particular case, I find it difficult to go through the tutorials and learn all you teach us at such a fast pace anyways :D

Anonymous

Please do your best Sakimi-chan!!

Anonymous

Quality over quantity I always say, and your work has improved tremendously since I saw it on deviant art years ago. Whatever you decide to pursue in order to achieve your goals, the community is behind you. We don't want that creative brain to overheat xD

Makudo333

Go at your own pace :)

Anonymous

I agree with the idea. And I propose a challenge - most of the works you've put out have been "character focused" so far. Try something like have a character express an emotion against a large scene. E.g. a king/queen addressing an audience in a crowded square of buildings. A yaoi / yuri pair admiring the sun-rise over a grand forest vista (or some such). That sort.

Jonescalypso

You've definitely proven you're a hard worker by giving us two great terms per month all this time. :) I'd say you deserve to take it at your own pace and use the methods that inspire you the most. I hope that taking it a bit slower will give you a better chance to enjoy your work and not feel so rushed to get everything completed on time. :D Thank you again for all you share with us! I look forward to seeing more of your own original creations.

Anonymous

Haste in everything but judgement.

Anonymous

yes this sounds better! Even though I've only known you for about 1 year I could tell the difference btw your older art works and recent ones; they are all great and it is amazing how fast you draw! But I could also indirectly feel the pressure you must have been to create all these contents each month. Your works are admirable and great but if you had more time then they would be even better :D So, I totally agree with this posting and your thoughts and you should do whatever you decide is right!! Have a great day Sakimi :)

Anonymous

ALWAYS follow your muse. If this is the direction she is steering you then you need to follow her. The moment you have to start forcing your brush... the art becomes work and the love of that art becomes resentment.

Anonymous

I absolutely agree with you. You should do what inspires you. I love your artwork and I think that you should take your time. I know there are some days I get a lot done and then others I do not get a lot done. You have my full support <3

Anonymous

I'm on board with this. Two terms every month seemed like a difficult pace to keep up long-term. Do your thing!

Anonymous

I'm all for it.

Anonymous

I absolutely support you in this. I love your art, and it is very important for any artist to keep from getting burned out. I always feel proud for supporting someone who creates such beautiful things; you should definitely go at a sustainable pace so you can keep making terrific art!

Anonymous

I'm all for it :) I always thought you would probably be a little rushed. My only question is about the 20$ tier. Is their any way that you could put past terms on your gumroad at a lower price so that users have more immediate access to them instead of having to wait an extra month? Even if it was a limited time sale on your gumroad, you'd probably get a lot of business there, especially since you're only charging 10$ extra for past terms here and for individual tutorials there. It would also be a great way to make all of those past terms keep on working for you, since more people would definitely buy your past tuts at a more affordable price ^-^ (And on a side note, still waiting on that Korra fan art from term 1 :3)

Justin

I am very much on board with all of this. :D

Tillerz

I am happy with the change. Sure take your time off if you need it. You did work like a madwoman. :p

Antsstyle

Sounds good to me - not only does it help you not to burn out, but as you already said, it'll give you more time to think about ideas and concepts. It's always better to go at your own pace, both for your health and to make sure you can spend enough time on pieces rather than rushing them to completion :)

Tahldon

This change sounds plenty fine to me. I've only recently began supporting you here, and I noticed how fast you were able to create and that you'd been creating that way for more than a year. Astonished doesn't begin to cover the feelings. That's a LOT of creating and I commend you for stopping for a bit to get a breather and realizing that it would be better for you to amend your schedule. One should always remember their health, in both mind and body. I am even more excited as you will be able to catch your breath and exercise your creative abilities in new, fun ways. It's a new journey in your art form in which we will be able to tag along. It'll be a fun ride. I just know it. Keep up the great work. : )

Anonymous

I think this is a good idea. :)

Anonymous

sounds like a good idea to me.

Anonymous

I like this idea. Go for it.

Anonymous

You work really damn hard, have 2 week benchmarks and hit insane amounts of content even with the time constraints. If you want more time per content update, I think that's not only fair, but also preferable.

Anonymous

Sounds great. It will give me a chance to catch up on your tutorials.

Anonymous

I'm very happy that you want to create more original art. Not that I don't like your fanarts, but the pictures that made me follow you on deviantart long ago were original ones :) I'm also good with 1 term per month, you give a lot of content per term and I think it's important not to burn yourself out and leave enough time to take breaks for your health and creative thinking.

Anonymous

Do whatever you like and we will support you!! :)

Anonymous

I don't really see that this changes anything. Just that some months we'll only be billed for 1 instead of 2 terms. So it's basically the same. Go for it.

Anonymous

This sounds like a good idea. Two terms for month is quite full on. Having it be one or two terms per month based on how you're feeling is fine with me.

Anonymous

It'll definitely be better for your sanity and health. You have my support!

Anonymous

This seems like a fine idea to me: you work at the pace you feel comfortable with, and we support you at the same rate of dollars per artwork. And you get the opportunity to work on your original projects more often, and avoid burnout. Everyone's happy!

Anonymous

I would prefer one term a month. It will give me a chance to catch up on your tutorials. I would also love to see your original art and I love your voice over tutorials too.

Anonymous

Sounds great! You definitely have my support!!

Anonymous

famous pinup artist alberto vargas was in a contract for a painting a week. he was so burned out that he begged to get out of the contract-- but was refused. it was tragic to take that natural creativity and run it into the ground. so I think it's great to work at variable speeds when you feel inspired to create.

Américo Gonçalves Neto

one term a month, it seems excellent. will not leave you too tired and your ideas will flow better.

Anonymous

I'm fine with the change and I think it will be good for you. You have my support c:

Anonymous

sounds good.

Anonymous

as long as ill be able to support you, I'm fine with everything :).

Anonymous

I started following you for the quality and beauty of your original artwork, and it was your original artwork that got me to sign up for patreon. The fan art is great - but I'd rather see what *you* create. Being a creative type, too, I understand how much the combination of a structured schedule and time to breathe and let your mind play with ideas helps the creative process. I thought you were being a bit of a super-artist with the schedule you were keeping, anyhow. tldr; go for it.

Anonymous

You have my support. I wouldn't want you to burn out. Better to go at a pace that works best for you.

Anonymous

1 is good!

Anonymous

Surely, do what works best for you. I have one question thp, will there be any change in pricing/billing?

Anonymous

1 term is perfectly fine for me as long the pledge price doesn't change x)

Anonymous

Perfectly fine with me! <3

Anonymous

You have my support too :3

Anonymous

fine with me

Anonymous

This comment is a little late but I just wanted to say thank you for all of the wonderful content you have created for us to enjoy!! You are a huge help and inspiration to me. I hope you do whatever is best for you, and you definitely have my support! =)

9TailsofKawaii

So we're getting 1 for the price of 2? Wow..... :/

Anonymous

whichever is best for you, I love your art style and hope to be as good as you are someday!
