vamX.1.19 - Update 2 fixes a rare but important issue where poses can break due to Lip-Sync Plugin Morph Incompatibilities.

Download vamX.1.19 - Update 2

QUICK SUMMARY
If you had an issue with Virt-a-Mate breaking when changing voices or switching to random looks (poses stopped loading), then download this update.
When running this updated version of vamX, you will be alerted via an error message (when opening the vamX scene) if you have any incompatible morphs which cause this error.

ISSUE
This update includes a workaround for an issue which appears as follows: When loading certain vamX voices, or changing to new vamX looks (that load certain vamX voices), Virt-a-Mate / vamX poses and other important Virt-a-Mate functions stop working. This is due to an incompatibility between AdamAnt's Realtime Lipsync plugin and certain rare morphs.  This issue also effects other non-vamX scenes which use the LipSync Plugin.

WORK AROUND / SOLUTION
When loading vamX, if you are using any of the problematic morphs, or have them loaded in Virt-a-Mate, vamX.1.19 - Update 2 now shows an error message that list where these bad morphs are, so that you can remove them.  If the morphs are located in an Addon Package (var), the error message tells you which Addon Package(s) are problematic and asks you to remove them. These morphs are very rarely used, so it will probably not be an issue to remove them, or Addon Packages that contain them.  If you have an Addon Package that contains bad morphs and you don't want to remove the Addon Package itself, you can open the Addon Package using 7-zip, navigate to the Custom/Atom/Person/Morphs folder, and remove the bad morphs (which are listed by vamX). You can then continue to use that Addon Package.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ISSUE
In vamX, AdamAnt's Realtime Lipsync plugin is included (with permission) to control mouth movements for many voices.

The default male and female don't use this plugin, but most female voices, plus the new male voice commands, do use the Lipsync plugin.

The LipSync plugin is built as a .dll and not modifiable by vamX, but it contains an issue where if certain rare morphs are in your Virt-a-Mate morphs folder, or if you have loaded these morphs through an Addon Package, major errors occur, mainly, the female will no longer load poses correctly.

This issue is documented here: https://hub.virtamate.com/threads/f...with-rt_lipsync-all-but-hair-and-heels.15593/

Most Addon Packages don't use these morphs, but if you do have an Addon Package that uses these morphs, it can be difficult to find which Addon Package contains the bad morphs.  vamX now lists all bad morphs (morphs that mess up the Realtime Lipsync plugin) as well as their complete paths, including which var package they are found in. This way you can remove them, or remove the var packages that contain them.

You must restart Virt-a-Mate (or hard reset it) after removing morphs.

Hello ! I wanted to consult you to update VAMX, should I uninstall the previous one and incorporate this one?, or should I also leave the other one?, thank you very much!

vamx

This file would replace the previous vamX.1.19.var package. But if you mean upgrade from 1.18, it's up to you. If you've saved scenes that you love that rely on vamX, you might want to keep previous vamX packages, but if not, delete old vamX packages and only keep the latest (plus keep the unchanging vamX.Base.1)

SKOOKS

Hello. I've been having trouble using the speech recognition function on one of my devices. I followed all instructions (set default microphone, made sure VAM was the selected window), but I get this message in the error log when I load vamX !> Exception caught: UnityEngine.UnityException: Speech recognition is not supported on this machine. at (wrapper managed-to-native) UnityEngine.Windows.Speech.PhraseRecognizer:INTERNAL_CALL_CreateFromKeywords (UnityEngine.Windows.Speech.PhraseRecognizer,string[],UnityEngine.Windows.Speech.ConfidenceLevel,intptr&) at UnityEngine.Windows.Speech.PhraseRecognizer.CreateFromKeywords (System.String[] keywords, ConfidenceLevel minimumConfidence) [0x00000] in :0 at UnityEngine.Windows.Speech.KeywordRecognizer..ctor (System.String[] keywords, ConfidenceLevel minimumConfidence) [0x00000] in :0 at vamX.BL_VoiceControl.StartDictation () [0x00000] in :0 have you encountered this problem before?

I want to have the folowing feature, a easy and simple way to load a picture from a real person into vamx ! And yes I'm still waiting for the other things I asked for !

I would try googling "Speech recognition is not supported on this machine". So far I found that speech recognition doesn't work in Windows 10 Educational, and also that you made need to temporarily set English (US) as a primary language to install speech recognition components (if you aren't using Windows in English).

Like a picture that would be in a frame on the wall? Perhaps upload it and set the url of the vamXWebPanel__vamX Plugin Atom.

I was experimenting with this in poser and some other face mapping software back in 2005-2006 when I was living in Belgium, No for now I mean just for the head - face : Let's say that I take pictures of my girlfriend,. front of the head, side of the head,.

It's possible to do this but it's something that you would need to study how to do, and then do. It will take more than just virt-a-mate (also other software, probably blender and/or daz, plus specialized photo to 3d software, all free). Some people have written tutorials online.
