Maive is a new Beta Test scene by vamX with semi-realistic emotional responses.

Maive understands a lot of what is going on. Her mood is influenced by the lighting, if she and her partner are dressed, half naked, or naked, their distance from each other, if her partner changes appearance, if she is being looked at, what her partner is doing, how much he is moving, and of course where, how, and when you touch her.

If you gently stroke her arms she is going to respond very differently than if you hug her, touch her thighs, spank her, etc.  If she's not kinky (doesn't like spankings), then be gentle, she can take it a little harder when she is closer to c*mming.

Treat Maive a little like a real person.

Figure out what she likes and doesn't, which of course (unfortunately?!) changes based on her mood and arousal.

When you first open the scene, you'll see various Mood sliders, including Disgust <> Arousal. You'll probably want to figure out how to increase her arousal (so the slider moves itself towards Arousal). She will give you clues, if you pay attention to her words and expressions. The Disgust <> Arousal slider turns green when it increases, and red when it decreases.

Arousal increases in two stages. To get her ready for sex, first make her fully aroused (Disgust <> Arousal slider all the way to Aroused). Then make her orgasm (Aroused <> Orgasm slider all the way to Orgasm).

My AI is Very Emotional.

The default Maive voice includes a wide variety of possible emotional responses. If you don't want to have the possibility to hear sadness, fear or any other negative emotion, change her voice in the Person tab.  But if she does get scared, disgusted, or sad, you can also figure out how to soothe her.

Maive is best experienced in VR.

Maive is designed for VR as she responds to your movements and precise touch. You can use the Maive UI -> Move Male tab for desktop mode, but this is much less precise. You have much more movement control and interactivity possible in VR.

Beta

This is an early release, beta version of Maive. Maive currently only has facial expressions and verbal reactions, but will have arm gestures and full body movement added in future versions. Also there will be more fine tuning, more audio, and more of everything over time.

Maive can currently only be used in her scene, and can't be combined with vamX.

Download Maive, then read more below about how to use the Maive scene.

The Maive UI

The Maive UI contains what you need in order to interact with and respond to Maive.  For example, if she complains it's a bit too dark, you can turn up the lights in the Lighting tab.

Some buttons, like sex poses, only work if she is ready and your genitals aren't covered.

In the Maive UI the tabs are on bottom. Press a tab to change what content is shown on top. Use the < and > buttons near the bottom tabs to change which tabs are shown (for example to find the Pose tab).

If the pose gets messed up while they are just standing around, go to Pose -> Standing In Front to load a good starting pose.  If she is disgusted by you, one way to improve her mood is to have someone else come seduce her. Change the male look to make her less disgusted.

To put the Maive UI into a nice place, open the Virt-a-Mate menu and click vamXUI.

VR MODE

Maive is designed so that you interact with the female, and embody or control the male.

If you are using two VR Controllers, start by pressing the VR Wrist button to attach the UI to your wrist.  To switch wrists press VR Wrist again.

If you are using only one controller, press your VR controller's trigger button once or twice to get the Maive UI to appear near your controller.

To interact with Maive, in the Maive UI open the Possess tab then press VR Hands or Embody Male.

When you click Embody Male, if the hands seem very strange, rotate the controller in the hand that isn't working well 360 degrees to untangle his arm.

Embodying the male requires using both VR controllers.

Instead of embodying, you can use the disembodied VR hands (your VR controllers). If you do this, she'll also be responding the male, and what he's doing, in addition to your VR hand touches.

DESKTOP MODE

In desktop (non-VR) mode, use the buttons in the Move Male tab to control the male. These buttons are currently limited, and it's highly recommended to use Maive in VR if possible. In Move Male you can quickly alternate back and forth between touching nearby parts (like the head and arm), to create a stroking like motion.

Credits

Maive is written by vamX and Amaimon, and voiced by the sexy Moan Elisa. Embody and Walk plugins included with permission from AcidBubbles. Full vamX Credits here.

What about vamX?

vamX is still in development, and there will now be both new vamX releases and new Maive releases. Maive will eventually also become an option in vamX.

Can’t wait to meet here!

Jon Persson

I just tested Maive on VaM 1.20.77.8, it seems there's a start missing. I embody the male, but there's no expressions or voice on the female. The buttons for stand, hug, and hug/ass works, but none of others. Seems like these 3 are the start poses. Anyway, this experience looks really promising. Looking forward to testing new versions

I updated to 1.20.77.9 and tested again. Still no voice or expressions on the female, nor any change in the mood meters no matter what I do. I also have the vamx 1.16 VAR file in AddonPackages, but haven't loaded any scenes with it before opening the Maive VAR. Will it help if I paste the log from opening the maive scene?

vamx

Yes, please paste the log. Also try opening vamX and see if it works, as when you open vamX, if it doesn't work, it gives you helpful suggestions. For example make sure the var packages haven't been renamed, plugins on, etc.

Jon Persson

Never found out how to copy out the log txt. However, good news! I did a vanilla install of 1.20.77.9 and now Maive works. I added most of the VARs back in, so it doesn't seem to have been a var incompatibility. Maybe claring out the temp/cache was what did it, difficult to say.
