What's New in vamX 1.16

If you are familiar with vamX, go through the new HELP -> Custom Scene tutorial. This teaches the new Custom Scene tools (automatic pose placement, quick pose sex sequence, and using vamX in any Virt-a-Mate scene). Also, watch the Tutorial Video from the vamX 1.16 Video Post and read the Custom Scene Features section below for more info. Check the bugs section at the bottom of this page.

If this is your first time using vamX, instead start with the first tutorial as described in the download steps below.

Check out the new scenes on the 3rd page of Scenes, the new Music in Sound -> Local Music, and the new voice options (moans without talking, pitch changes, VAMMoan), in Sound -> Female Voice.

If you use threesomes, try the new Switch Roles button (the 7th button of the first page of the 3some tab) to switch to having sex with the 3some female.

You can now use people with integrated CustomUnityAsset items (for example anime people or characters with attached items), without CUAManager. Load the look scene that has the person set up correctly, merge load vamX (Add vamX), then switch to any vamX Scene in the Scene tab.

Download and Run vamX

1) Download vamX.1.16 - for Virt-a-Mate 1.20.77.x - Or, instead, you can download vamX.1.16.var from Mega

2) Optionally (not required) download the AddonPackages. Users of vamX.1.15 don't need to download these again.

3) Put var packages in your Virt-a-Mate/AddonPackages folder. Don't rename or extract .var package files. If you have previous versions of vamX, you can delete them. Previous versions are only useful if you created and saved scenes with those versions of vamX. If you don't have Virt-a-Mate learn more here.

4) Open Virt-a-Mate, click the Scene Browser, then find and open the vamX scene (thumbnail of a woman wearing a bra and panties, lying on a bed).

5) If it's your first time using vamX, press Help -> vamX MAIN TUTORIAL from the vamX UI -> Scene tab.

6) If you're having problems or want to learn advanced tricks, see vamX Help.

7) Should I download anything else? If you've downloaded the latest version of vamX, you have all vamX features. The only additional thing you can download are the separate vamX Environments. Environments can only be opened as separate Virt-a-Mate scenes and cannot be switched to in the main vamX scene tab.

VAMX VOICE CONTROL 1) Set your Windows default microphone before opening Virt-a-Mate 2) Have the Virt-a-Mate window active (the last selected window) Learn more about voice commands

Addon Packages (optional) Full Addon Packages folder (2.6 GB) (You must still download vamX 1.16 in addition). Some vamX items and pages are marked in-game as AddOn, to use those items you need the Addon Packages. The Addon Packages haven't changed for vamX 1.16.

Voice Effects Pack (optional) In Sound you can add Vocal Effects. All Vocal Effects are modifications of the original female Belle voice. You can choose from a variety of normal sounding or strange (e.g. angel, robot, monster) voices. Download the vamX Voice Effects Pack.

For those already familiar with vamX functionality you can load vamX into any scene using the Merge Load scenes. Watch the Merge Load Tutorial Video on Mega or X VIDEOS (set the quality in x videos to 1080p). You can also use the Add vamX plugin instead of manually merge loading. Set the Add vamX plugin to run automatically, so you always have a small, easy, button on the Virt-a-Mate main menu: "Add vamX". To use this session plugin 1) Go to Edit -> Virt-a-Mate Menu Open Main UI (3 horizontal bars) -> 2) Session Plugins -> 3) Add Plugins 4) On the Plugin Added go to Select File... -> 5) On the left side click AddonPackages Filtered -> 6) On the right side choose vamX.1.16.var -> 7) Press Add vamX.cslist -> 8) To never have to do these steps again from the Main UI switch to the Session Plugin Presets tab -> 9) Change User Defaults... -> 10) Set Current As User Defaults. You can also watch a set-up video here https://www.patreon.com/posts/add-vamx-to-any-59891199

CUSTOM SCENE FEATURES

Custom Scene features are designed for experienced vamX users.

You can now use people with integrated CustomUnityAsset items (for example anime people or characters with attached items), without CUAManager. Load the look scene that has the person set up correctly, merge load vamX (Add vamX), then switch to any vamX Scene in the Scene tab. vamX tries to understand which CustomUnityAssets are part of the person, and which are part of the scene, and hopefully separates the two so you have a fully functional anime person with any attached assets such as custom hair objects, swords, hats, and other items. Standing poses (where both the male and female are standing in front of eachother) currently have hand movement errors when used with people who have objects attached to their hands.

Added a Session Plugin that allows you to quickly add vamX to any scene. You can set this plugin up to run automatically on Virt-a-Mate load so you always have a small easy button on the main menu: "Add vamX". To use this session plugin 1) Go to Edit -> Virt-a-Mate Menu Open Main UI (3 horizontal bars) -> 2) Session Plugins -> 3) Add Plugins 4) On the Plugin Added go to Select File... -> 5) On the left side click AddonPackages Filtered -> 6) On the right side choose vamX.1.16.var (or the latest version of vamX) -> 7) Press Add vamX.cslist -> 8) To never have to do these steps again from the Main UI switch to the Session Plugin Presets tab -> 9) Change User Defaults... -> 10) Set Current As User Defaults.

When using Add vamX or Merge Loading vamX into any Virt-a-Mate scene you create what we call a Custom Scene. This build has numerous important features for Custom Scenes:

1) Automatic Pose Placement. An initial starting pose location is chosen automatically. You can then switch to other detected good locations by pressing Scene -> Custom Scene -> NEXT POSE LOCATION (On Floor) or Next Bed Location (Raised Surface).  To get back to the original scene starting location, press STARTING FEMALE POSE LOCATION. Next Bed Location switches to any locations not detected as the most common height, generally a raised location but if the scene is mostly floor, plus a lower area, then the "bed" locations are this lower area.

2) Next SEX STAGE & Next POSE buttons (2nd page of Custom Scene). These make it easier to navigate through the great variety of vamX poses without switching out of the Custom Scene area. The first stage is a dance tease, followed by lap dance, foreplay and sex. In each stage you can switch between multiple poses that fit that stage.  Further stages continue to different kinds of sex, pausing for more foreplay and nice views along the way. You can also just stop and choose whatever pose you want in the Pose tab at any time.

3) Before switching to a vamX pose, if your custom scene has animation that is effecting the people, you need to stop that animation. You can do this using buttons on the 3rd page of Scene -> Custom Scene. Press PAUSE OTHER SCENE ANIMATION to stop Scene Animation. Scene Animation can animate people, it's just one way to record animation in Virt-a-Mate. C&G Studio and others use Scene Animation. You should start by trying this button, as you can always resume the scene animation by pressing it again. If this doesn't stop the people animating, press Stop All ATOM / PERSON ANIMATION. This stops and removes all timeline animations, built-in Virt-a-Mate animations, and other forms of animations. If that doesn't stop the animation, try Stop Other PLUGINS & ANIMATION. Once the person is no longer animated, you can switch to vamX Poses and Actions.

4) You may have audio in the scene but want to replace it with a vamX voice, or vamX background music. To do this, press Scene -> Custom Scene -> 3rd Page -> Stop All NON-VAMX SOUND. You can also stop all local background music, including that in merge loaded scenes, by going to Sound -> Local Music & Sound -> Off.

5) On the other hand, some scenes may have female moans you want to keep, in which case you might not want the vamX moaning / talking. If so, press Scene -> Custom Scene -> 3rd Page -> Stop All VAMX MOANS & SPEECH.

6) For Custom Scenes, changing the lighting in the vamX Light tab now removes the lighting setup in the Custom Scene and replaces it with the vamX lighting setup selected (unless the Custom Scene lighting is a subscene, in which case it's only changed when changing scenes).

7) After loading any Virt-a-Mate scene and adding vamX, you can now switch to a vamX Scene, keeping the people in the custom scene, but changing the environment. This is especially useful if a scene has a complex person with attached objects (like horns, weapons, custom hair as CustomUnityAsset, etc.). Load the scene with the person already set up, then in the vamX UI, open Scene and choose a new scene.

8) You can now load a scene with a complex person, including attached assetbundle clothing or hair, and then switch to any vamX scene while keeping that person intact. For example load a character with an object in her hand (for example a rifle) and switch to the environment to a hotel room and have her dance, strip, and have sex. This makes it easier to use a look from any scene. In the past, if you merge loaded vamX, you had to stay within the existing scene's environment. vamX automatically removes most other Atoms so you can switch to new vamX environments without having extra walls, floors, or other strange objects remain. vamX keeps active all objects linked to the person (like horns), and of course the people's looks.

9) If you prefer to remove objects attached to people, press REMOVE NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT.

10) If, on the other hand you want to merge the Custom Scene with a vamX environment (have all objects / Atoms from both scenes) press KEEP NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT. If you haven't pressed REMOVE NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT, you can press KEEP NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT even after switching Scenes, to then restore the lost environment.

NEW FEATURES

New Switch Roles button. When in a 3some, this now first switches the female and threesome so you can have sex with the third person. Pressing this repeatedly keeps cycling around who is in which role/position of the current combined pose. This button is located in the 3some tab but also allows you to switch the male and female roles/positions if there isn't a threesome. You may see errors when using this button, as Virt-a-Mate gets confused for a second by the change in gender, but these errors are harmless, ignore them.

Added 7 new simple scenes with beds and couches to the 3rd page of the Scene menu.

Added 22 new background music pieces to Sound -> Local Music (in the 2nd - 5th pages).

Updated VAMMoan to the latest version with 5 new additional voices. Added ability to turn on/off the lipsync plugin for VAMMoan. Fixed issue with VAMMoan in vamX, where VAMMoan wouldn't always know and respond correctly to vamX arousal changes when used on the 2nd person (male) or 3rd person (threesome). VAMMoan now works much better with the 2nd and 3rd person.

Placed a link to VAMMoan voices in the Music -> Female Voice section, and made it easier to switch back and forth between voices by automatically disabling VAMMoan female voices when vamX voices are chosen, and allowing vamX to change the pitch and volume for VAMMoan voices.

Added an Adjust Voice Pitch & Volume button to the Music -> Female Voice section to make it easier to adjust pitch right after choosing a voice, which is very convenient. Adjusting pitch leads to a much greater variety of vamX voices / voice qualities.

Added Moans Only versions of all voices to the Sound -> Female Voice menu. These allow you to hear the voices without any English words (or words or phrases in any language). Moans only versions play breathing, moans, and orgasms.

Improved loading speed of poses in merge loaded scenes (where you used add vamX) or where poses were manually moved / placed in scenes.  Also stopped the camera from flickering to a temporary pose location during loading.

Move Pose is now located in Pose -> MOVE POSE -> MOVE MENU. This creates room for the new AUTO MOVE MENU which lets you automatically place poses and dances in any scene.

You can now set locations for animations from Other -> Dance (these long dance or sex animations are also found in some Pose categories). In the past if you set the location of these animations using MOVE POSE, then changed the dance / animation, it would revert to the starting location. The animation location is now remembered when completing MOVE POSE. You can move animations (and poses) using Pose -> Move Pose -> MOVE MENU.

Improved female standing and chair masturbation sequence. Hand placement in general, and her hand pose when touching her breasts, are improved, plus she doesn't leave her hand on her breasts or clit when moving on to a different sort of masturbation.

Fixed issue where male didn't load his pose when switching from the bed seated forwards riding to the bed seated backwards riding in merge loaded scenes.

Fixed issue where the chair handstand blow job pose only worked in the default antique room scene.

Fixed issue with the seated reverse riding look backwards pose. This pose didn't work well in any scenes except the default vamX scene due to a linking issue between male and female parts.

Fixed issue where in rare circumstances in Desktop mode the camera could get locked in a strange vertical rotation.

The Attach / Release button no longer casts shadows. Before, small shadows could sometimes be seen cast from the vamX UI Menu onto the scene people and objects.

For very advanced users or scene creators you can now disable various parts of vamX in the vamX plugin custom UI.  Open the __MOVE_LIGHTING_RIG0 atom -> Plugins Tab -> plugin#0_vamX._CHOOSE_VAMX_FEATURES -> Open Custom UI...  These items are experimental and not guaranteed to work, but may help.

If people start exploding, vamX now automatically resets their physics. Hopefully this doesn't result in an infinite loop, if you have issues with this let me know.

OTHER FIXES & CHANGES

Fixed significant issue causing Action alignment to be off when changing poses, before reloading the new pose.  If poses had significantly different locations, this could cause big visible errors.  These errors corrected themselves over time as vamX reloaded and aligned the action due to arousal changes and pose changes, so these errors generally self corrected, but could create very large temporary errors in pose alignment.

vamX now automatically adds the ParentHoldLink plugin by Blazedust (if not present) to looks that have CustomUnityAssets attached to the person (probably custom hair, or items like swords).

Fixed issue when loading standing 3some poses in Merge Loaded scenes. The 3rd person location preset wasn't saved and so their pose wasn't loaded.

Fixed issue when using OSR2+ in merge loaded, animated, scenes. In animated sex scenes (like sex & dance scenes) vamX may have stopped the animation when the OSR2+ was added. Now you can load a sex & dance type scene, or other animated sex scene, and use vamX to quickly start and fine tune the OSR2+. You will probably need to use the TCode 3.2 version to make animated sex scenes work properly.

Fixed issue in scenes with 3 people, where Person#2 is a female. Now when merge loading / adding vamX, the male is correctly identified even if there is a person named Person#2 that is female in the scene.

BUGS / IN PROGRESS

Reduced errors where the voice recognition system would think it heard voice commands from random ambient noise, or noise due to stroking sex toys. For very short phrases the voice recognition system requires more confidence (being more sure the command is right) in order to trigger. These are reduced but not completely gone! If random things happen, go to Sound and uncheck Speech Recognition.

When using a Custom Scene (any non-vamX scene in Virt-a-Mate), then switching to a new vamX Scene, then pressing REMOVE NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT, the vamX lighting system is accidentally removed. To fix this, open the first scene on the first page of Scenes (the antique room with the red bed and fireplace) then go to Light and press the 2nd item on the first Light page, Reload Scene Lighting. Or just switch to a n00rp lighting set in the 3rd page of the Light tab.

If the people explode or get lost, use the Scene -> Custom Scene -> Next Pose Location On Floor (or Next Bed Location) buttons.  The automatic pose placement system (Analyze Scene) has difficulties in scenes with tight spaces that contain walls with the same floor height on both sides. In these cases, automatic pose detection (or your manually moving) may cause the people to intersect with the environment and explode. If you end up with the pose jumping to some strange place, and you have a hard time getting it back, cycle through some more random floor and/or bed pose locations till you find a good one near you. Make sure you first press ANALYZE SCENE From Camera / Your Locations (not from the female location), as if she is exploding her view point may be very very far away. Setting a new pose location for bed / floor in the can fix various issues.

The standing masturbating pose, and some other standing poses where the female hand positions are set to off and objects are linked to the hands, have strange errors where the hands move around wildly. ParentHoldLink creates random movement when the linked object's position is set to off. If you have issues where her hands can't seem to find the right location, change pose to a bed pose or chair pose, or go to Scene -> Custom Scene -> REMOVE NON-VAMX ENVIRONMENT (to remove objects / CustomUnityAssets). This will be fixed in the next build.

Manually moving seated / chair poses has an issue where  manually set pose locations are inaccurate (offset).  When manually moving seated / chair positions, until this is fixed, you must place the chair position further back and to the right then you want the pose to end up in (from the perspective of looking towards the front of the chair). After setting the location, reload the same pose or switch poses to see the real final position set.

The Custom Scene button doesn't appear in vamX external environments (like the Cafe, or the Japanese School Classroom). To use the new Custom Scene button with those environments, first load the external environment you want, then manually merge load the "Merge Load vamX into Scenes with People" scene. To manually merge load vamX into a scene 1) Open the Virt-a-Mate main menu -> main UI (the upper left corner of the UI with three horizontal lines). 2) Go to the File (Open/Save) tab, then press Merge Load Scene. 3) Choose the latest vamX.1.x package from the left side, then choose the Merge Load vamX into Scenes with People scene.

If people start exploding, vamX automatically resets their physics. Hopefully this doesn't result in an infinite loop, if you have issues with this let me know or disable it using the vamX plugin's custom UI.

Man, this seems like a huge time saver that's really going to make it easier for us to create unique and dynamic scenes. The role switching feature is something I've been wanting for a long time and I'm thrilled to see it added. Thank you for constantly making these huge improvements!

Where do i need to save my .var scenes for it to appear on the scene selection menu? because none of my scenes appears there

vamx

The vamX Scene menu contains 50 vamX scenes with defined pose locations for all poses in each of these fixed scenes. If you want to use other scenes you need to load that scene as usual in Virt-a-Mate, then merge load vamX into it (which is advanced, don't start here if you're new to vamX). To add vamX to a scene you can also use the new Add vamX plugin / feature. Search the vamX Help for "Add vamX" https://www.patreon.com/posts/help-getting-41151850

Hi, I'm new to Vam and just subcribed to your patreon. quick question, is there a way to unlink the oculus quest trigger buttons from making your vamx menu pop up? everytime i try to grab something the menu keeps poppin in and out. been trying to find the answer but no luck yet.

vamx

If you click "Hide" (bottom left button on the vamX menu), then the trigger button doesn't do anything (menu stays hidden). To get the menu back find the small "Show" button (where hide was when you clicked it) or from the Virt-a-Mate main menu press the "vamX" button.

Oh, this sounds like my problem! I have an Oculus also, maybe it is a specific problem with Oculus?

Anonymous

hey! such a good job, dude! can i please get a video tutorial or smth? i mean not key features, but the real gameplay to see how ppl settup vamx just to compare with my skills?

vamx

To see how other people set it up? There are a couple of tutorial videos that show merge loading with other scenes for 1.16. I'm not sure how to provide videos of other people aside from us, using vamx

vamx

No, did you read my response? This is intentional behavior, pressing trigger brings the vamX menu to your controller unless you click "Hide" on the vamX menu. After clicking Hide on the vamX menu you can use the Virt-a-Mate main menu's vamX UI button to bring it back (or click Show)

Hi , Is there a way i can toggle off facial expressions /emotion completely? thanks

vamx

Yeah, in the Plugins, 2nd page, 1st item. You can change head control / expressions. Turn off both vamX and Virt-a-Mate expressions, or choose which.
