Why I've been away (Patreon)

First of all, thank you very much for such a warm welcome back, over 100K views in a day for the new review! 

I apologize for being gone for so long, and I believe you deserve an explanation as to why I've been away. It is an ongoing situation that will continue to affect my upload schedule indefinitely. 

Before I get into it, I urge my audience to NOT look for anyone mentioned. Do not search for anyone's name or address, and do not harass or otherwise harm anyone mentioned in this post. I won't be divulging full details or names to respect the privacy of everyone involved. With that being said: 

Back in March, I was betrayed in an unforgivable manner by someone who I considered family. This resulted in me getting a temporary restraining order against this person, which is still in effect to this day. But between then and now, this person has continually harassed me, my friends, and my family. They've doxed me, they've sued me for money I don't owe, and they've bought the trademark to the name "JobbytheHong" in a direct attack against my career. They have even threatened to create content "exposing" me. 

I'm still awaiting trial for a permanent restraining order, and the judgement for my small claims lawsuit case has not yet been made. I'm also exploring my legal options for the trademark situation.

Various court fees and my absence from YouTube have had a great negative impact on my income, but your support here on Patreon and through YouTube memberships has been a huge help in keeping me financially stable. 

This whole situation has also negatively impacted my creative process. Within these last 6 months, I was simply not in the mood to perform as the "JobbytheHong" character. The fact that I was stuck preparing for multiple court cases didn't help either. However, because it has been so long and actions are finally being taken, I've been slowly but surely getting back into the swiveling spirit. 

Once again, I beg for everyone reading this to NOT pursue my harasser. Do not dox, do not harass, do not dogpile.

Do not do to them what they have done to me and my family. 

And even if they reveal themselves by creating their "expose" piece about me, DO NOT ENGAGE. I will be handling this situation in a proper and legal manner without elevating it to the status of "drama", which is exactly what this person craves. 

While this is an ongoing situation with an uncertain conclusion, I will continue to create as much content as I'm able and willing to. Whether that be streams on Jobby2, toy reviews on JobbytheHong, or both, I'll definitely be seeing you next time!
