Marge Simpson Origins

Part prequel, part season 2.5, Queen Charlotte tells the story of... well, Queen Charlotte! She's not exactly my favorite character from Bridgerton... but perhaps this will make me appreciate her more when season 3 comes around?

I never want to hear anyone say "a gloved interaction" again

I also shed tears not only with Mama Bridgerton and Lady Danbury but through out the whole season, I could not believe myself, they're just so good

The creators of the show said the king's illness was most likely bipolar disorder (formerly known as manic depressive disorder), which can cause symptoms of mania and psychosis.

I also liked that the costumers said that the queen is purposely dressed in clothing from the period when she was first crowned queen during present Bridgerton because she is "frozen in time." That's why she looks so out of place compared to everyone else (including the hair lol).

I think this was my favorite episode of the series overall! There is just so much good character development and connection happening all throughout including the delightful hate sex montage. Like Violet and Lady Danbury's conversations, Brimsley and Charlotte, the ending, and Lord Ledger just being good fucking dude all had me crying!

It's not actually fully known what illness George had. The most common theories are Bipolar Disorder or Porphyria (which is a blood disease which can effect the nervous system). In reality this illness showed up much later in life, but eventually caused him to have to step down from royal duties and his son had to step in to rule as prince regent (hence "the regency period" which is the time Bridgeton proper is set)
