IT'S BACK! The long-awaited continuation of the Breakfast of Champions event has returned! I apologize profusely for the long downtime; I wanted to do something fun and new for the event after the bonus Midnight Snack round, but my computer ended up crashing and eating all of my files. I managed to salvage a few older versions of files to work with to recreate the field but had to start over completely from scratch on all the new competitors. But now I have everything more or less figured out, so we can continue as normal (or as close to normal as possible - with the holiday season upon us it still might be slow for a bit, but at least we're picking up the pace!)

In an effort to raise funds for their fledgling ragtag team, a handful of recalled Overwatch’s best and brightest have volunteered to do a fundraisingEATING CONTEST! Which hero or heroes will reign (and gain!) victorious… and which heroes will go home with nothing but a bunch of empty calories to show for their effort?

Welcome to theBREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS! Here's how the event works:

Our group of eight hungry volunteers has been split into two teams of four:

On the first team,Now You See Me, we have a group of talent you don’t want to mess with! Sombra, Amelie "Widowmaker" Lecroix, Jesse McCree, and Angela "Mercy" Ziegler, all of whom have been working out to get ready for this fierce competition! They might not look like much of a threat, but with Amelie's never-second attitude, Sombra and McCree’s stubbornness, and Mercy’s insatiable sweet tooth, they’re a force to be reckoned with on the eating field!

On the second team,The Big Guns, we have a big bang of firepower and fiery dispositions (with a little bit of ice on top courtesy of Mei)! Mei-Ling Zhou, Satya "Symmetra" Vaswani, Genji Shimada, and Hana "D.Va" Song aren’t here to play – they’re here to win! They might look like just a ragtag group, but they’re more than ready to give these fast-talking freeloaders more than a run for their money when it comes to who can put down the most pancakes!

Each team will be keeping cumulative score of donation amounts and number of pancakes eaten. In order for a team to win, they must have the most amount of pancakes eaten OVERALL, not just for a single character(so if one character has nine plates with their teammates getting none, but the other team has ten plates overall split between them, the second team will win). Each stack of five delicious buttery, syrupy pancakes costs $10USD/plate to distribute to the champion of your choice, soeven one donation of $10 is enough to push your favoured team a little closer to victory!

NOTE: Due to the carryover competitors’ expansive girth, it will take a significantly larger number of pancakes to make them appear satisfactorily stuffed and round – for this reason the cutoff amount for each half-round is now when one team or another reaches $350, rather than the previous $200 (which potentially means that one contestant on either team could take away as many as 175 pancakes in a single half-round if they were the only one donated to on that team!). The half-round will go into overtime if both teams are tied when the ending goal is reached, until one team takes a lead. As usual, every full round ends when this goal has been accomplished twice – giving the losing team from the first half-round the potential to catch up before the gain, or giving one character the potential to consume up to SEVENTY plates of pancakes in a single (two-part) round! (Though we should hope the love will be spread around at least a little bit – everybody came to this competition hungry after all!)

Everyone who pledged $20 or more has already automatically donated their pledge amount to the Breakfast of Champions event, but if you would like to donate more towards the event than just your pledge amount, you can send the amount to this link (as friends/family, not goods): https://www.paypal.me/huttslayer

As with the last sequence (Sweet Mercy), this event is for PAYPAL DONATIONS ONLY, no dA points. If you do donate, PLEASE BE SURE to add a notation, “Breakfast of Champions donation”, along with your username (either on dA or on Patreon) and the champion (or champions) you are donating to (and if more than one champion, how much of the donation is allocated to which contestant) so I can keep track of what’s what! Any further donation updates will be posted as they are completed (not necessarily immediately after donations are received, as I prefer to give multiple plates per update if possible) - however all updates will be drawn up and posted before the round opens to the next tier regardless of how many or how few are received (within a 24 hour period).

Every round will consist of three parts: a beginning, a half-round update, and a conclusion before the next round starts. This means that every round will consist of three images: one at starting weight (free), and the other two stuffing images (unlockable). Every time a donation is made, a plate (or plates) will be added in front of the champion(s) who have been donated to, with the score counter updated to reflect the current donation status of each team, until the end of the half-round or full round has been reached, when the plates will be cleared and the image updated. Once the second stuffing image has been unlocked, the next image will be the starting-weight image for the next round (free), where everything from the first round has been digested and turned into gain!

So! Who's ready to rock, roll, and ravage some pancakes in the Overwatch donation driveBREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS?
