No spoilers here so don't worry. After looking at the wiki I found that Zoan refers to the greek Zoia which just means animal/beast

I also just looked into the rumble ball vs choji thing and it appears that the one piece chapter came out 3 years before (august 2000 vs october 2003). Also talking about the similarities to chopper and neji vs naruto fight, one piece did it 2 years before. Thats another strike for kishimoto

Lindsay nailed the Zoan Three Transformations. Normal form, Animal-Human Hybrid form, and full beast form. Though in Chopper's Case his full beast form human that keeps some raindeer traits.

Now you know where Kishimoto got the idea for chouji's Food pills. lol

This reminds me of hiro mashima's Fairy tail how literally he copied every significant moment from popular shonen series. Even the iconic clash between naruto and Sasuke was straight ripped for fairy tail when Zeref fought Natsu and so many other things like Gildarts being a straight copy of shanks even missing the same arm, only that the story behind that character sucked ass. Its kind of dissapointing with naruto as well because I grew up with that series before i really got deep into one piece and all those amazing moments I thought were original idea's conceived by kishimoto, ended up being mirror panel by panel scenes and scenario’s ripped from other shonen. I don't want to place too much blame on kishi though because Oda and him were great friends and im sure they shared each other's works, but hiro is a big time plagiarizer.

Thanks for the episode(s) :D Btw during your post-episode discussion, your volume increased at very specific moments, making you sound very loud & we could hear the keyboard etc (slightly after 26 minutes "I wanna see the explanation about this sh*t... about the... THREE MINUTES." for example.

Oh oh noo, it don't look very bad on Kishimoto the more episodes pass by. But then again, Mangaka's borrow ideas from each other all the time, albeit this is pretty concerning lmao.

imma have to get a lobotomy to enjoy the pacing of these episodes💀

Lindsey got the Zoan explanation spot on. Now you've seen all 3 types of fruit, but really the type Luffy and Buggy has can be pretty much anything with no real limitations, mr. 3 and 5 are the same kind and there really isn't a way to categorize what it can be other than "not the other two". It really can just be whatever power Oda can think of. The 3rd kind you've seen is abilities like Smoker, Luffy might be made of rubber and his body acts like it, but Smoker's whole body can freely transform into smoke and he can control the element. In Logue Town his legs disappeared to float fast and he took a barrage of Luffy's punches without taking a scratch, each punch not being blocked by smoke but hitting smoke instead of flesh. Choppers fruit being the human human fruit seems to be what really allows the rumble ball to shine, giving him arms and bipedal legs let's him focus on transforming either his arms or legs, and giving him the ability to speak let's him focus on developing his brain. As for guard point I got no clue I guess he's constantly shedding fur when he transforms from deer to human so focusing on the part that let's him regrow it is what allows him to transform into what looks like the best plush pillow ever.

Yeah but there is a difference between borrowing and being inspired or just straight ripping panel by panel scenes with the same story just different circumstances. Welcome to the new age of artistic liberties, its becoming less and less as the years roll by compared to the peak experimentation of the 1980's. I guess it may have to do with Japan's major economic boom period. The 80's were the great innovation period for alot of things, video games, anime, movies, ect. Next generations also faired pretty well but that sence of "originality" is declining so much these days.
