Really enjoying the B&W art style in this series

I have a really small nitpick to make in the first couple of panels: when Ellie is opening the door, it's clear that the door is opening outwards, away from the house. However, in the panel where the door has just shut behind him, it looks as though he's leaning up against the door, or at least pushing backwards against it, in the same direction that he would have been opening the door. It doesn't look like he just pulled it shut behind him, his hand isn't even on the doorknob. Once again, I know this is a really small detail, but something about it just bugged my brain.
