Hey gang, Grandpa Newmers here with a new progress report!


There were some weird incomprehensible bugs that Kdot encountered, specifically in the game's combat. It is understandable, since it is the most complicated thing he's doing for the game, but it meant we were slowed down, and haven't been able to give our testers a build yet.

Well, we still can't, because we have seen what we have (the first 3 days of the game), and want (need?) to polish everything a bit before doing so. This means making images like the ones above, having Diamondhead and Heatblast appear in combat animations, and making sure every UI asset is properly placed, among others. Others, like fixing more annoying bugs.  Luckily, Kdot has also been cleaning the code so it runs more effectively.  

Up to now, the whole game has been like this really awesome side-project that we hope to turn into our main job. Thanks to the game I'm making with Sunsetriders 7, SmokeShank and Locke (coder extraordinaire, if you guys don't know him yet), I have been able to reject a bunch of  energy-draining jobs, and concentrate on making games.

Now, with the Alpha in the garage, getting ready for a test-run, the project is becoming a release.

The feeling is great, but we're also kind of terrified! :D Will you guys think there's not enough content for all the bloody time you've been waiting? Will you hate a character, a game mechanic we've invested months in? Will you pro-grammers see our work and sneer at us from your golden camping chairs, up in coders heaven? Will you players see the whole potential we know the game has...?

That last one is our main objective. We hope you do.

We'll work on them together this next weeks, see if w can have it ready for our testers soon.

Thanks for making this game visible out there! Now it's up to us to make this small first Alpha feel like an exciting NSFW game for you guys to be the protagonist of.
