Ok, sorry for spamming but I need to address this.

First thing is, I'll be showing less of the finished projects publicly on twitter, my latest animations revealed too much because they were OC's and I knew the owners would want to post them.

Second thing is, I've been thinking lately about the possibility of vaulting content from now on. Meaning that post will be deleted after certain time (after two months maybe).

I'm thinking of vaulting for two reasons:

1) My older content doesn't reflect what I have to offer now.

2) It's not fair that many of you remain here over the months to get this stuff for someone new to just drop 4$ and get months of content. Imagine in a year from now someone comes and gets all the content you had to patiently wait and pay for just get it instantly  and cheaper than you did. Doesn't seem fair to me honestly.

That's all I had in mind for now. If you have something in mind to improve my page leave it in the comments :D

That's one perspective, but personally speaking I always tend to stay subscribed longer when there's a backlog of content to go back and enjoy, also gives me a good estimation on what to expect in a good month. Compared to coming in for one advertised project and leaving after seeing there's nothing else to take in in the meantime until the next one comes down the line where I possibly might of dropped and forgot to come check back in for updates.

Seems pretty reasonable to me! You could also consider opening a gumroad for old vaulted content as well for anyone who wants to pay for the old animations. It's just an idea, but I figured I'd throw that out for you to consider 🙂

Would have to look at the payment options on gumroad, one of the reasons I use patreon is because it has a worldwide transaction option.

I see what u mean. But at the same time I think its fine to have everything available to a new patron. Sometimes there's older work that u find on the internet which makes u support on patreon. It might be disappointing to see that gone when its one thing u really wanted to see. Thats what I'm thinking rn.

Maybe its just me but I think Vaulting content comes with two issues. 1. Since I have recently became a member of your patreon, I honestly have been enjoying your older content and your newer content. I wasn't fortunate enough to have the funds to even do patreon as a whole but now that I have some stability, I just wanted to support one of my fav animators (You) and gain access to your better work/older work. I am sure there are others who would be in my situation and just come around finally, only to be kind of walled out from things already behind a paywall. 2. I think this is a great way to give the people who have been supporting you a better chance to understand they are special. They have been here longer and have been supporting your work to the fullest so knowing that they might have a piece of your history no longer accessible is amazing. I am sure these people will save it and keep it in a safe place or just... Keep it on their backups for safe keeping. So... For me its pros and cons to the vaulting situation and despite what choices you plan on making, still will support ya as much as i can

Hadn't seen it like that. I have to think a lot about this. It seems most that have commented don't mind the post staying up forever either. Thanks for the feedback

Im against vaulting. personally i avoid artists who do it because It leaves a poor taste in my mouth, id rather give money to people who keep it open then those who come later versus those who lock it away. I mean what if i saw something i really liked, just to come here and find out i couldn't see it because i didn't sub for something i didn't know about? at that point id just get frustrated and take my money elsewhere. no offense intended and i hope you decide on an option that makes you happy.

In my head I thought most people were bothered with post staying up, but everyone that has replied don't seem to mind. If you guys don't mind then I see no problem.

Well, I don't mind if someone decides to spend $4 and get everything I had spent months waiting for. I just wanna support every month. I will say though, if you delete the old posts, you should post them to gumroad so they aren't lost forever, and if people wanna pay then they can still see it.

chotterii

I don't think I'll be vaulting seeing most don't seem to mind. Though there is still one scenario where I would be forced to do it in the future but that will be in a distant future

While I don't blame artists for vaulting, I also would have to disagree with it. I've had a few other artists that I've checked out only to find out I couldn't see their stuff because they either vault, or release stuff via messages on a monthly basis, and it's kinda frustrating because I wanted to see some of their older stuff and couldn't, leaving me with previews for stuff that I could never see. I never saw it as a subscription to the artwork, but to the artist. Seeing where they began, or just some of their older works can be interesting to me.

I think it won't be necessary for now then. If I did it anyway would put vaulted stuff in a different tier or on gumroad or something.
