To put it in a simpler way, I mean I'm doing different "levels" of light  instead of the simple celshading of 1 color for skin and one color for shadow

yeah though it is a lot more time consuming, this is why you don't normally see that in any anime or cartoon. But still wanna do this one very high quality just to try it out

Right, cause you have to add every layer of lighting into every frame and it changes with the movement, yeah? That being the case I can definitely see how that can be really time consuming, but from what I have seen so far it'll be totally worth the extra work
