I apologize in advance... this is a lot to read but I just want everyone to know what I am thinking and the direction I want to go in.

I am at a point where I think I am ready to transition to using Maya & 3DSMAX software to do all my animations and rendering. Right now, I am using some very basic software for my animations that lacks any type of physics control, among other things. I am going to be using Maya & 3DSMAX for fluids and rendering going forward (IE: look at the Fira/Zeena scene renders). I want to switch to using only Maya & 3DSMAX. However, there are some pros and cons to switching. I wanted to list them here and see what you all think.

PROS to switching to Maya & 3DSMAX for animations:

  • More realistic animations - There are a lot of movement and physics things that I can do in Maya that will help add a lot more realism and smoothness to my animations.
  • Faster animations - Since I can simulate a lot of the stuff I am doing manually now, this will help speed up the time it takes me to make an animation.
  • More complexity and details to characters - If you want really good super high quality closeups of anal/vaginal/docking/etc, I can do that 1000X time better with Maya. I can also do internal/xray shots in Maya as well.
  • More diversity in new characters - There is an infinite number of possibilities in Maya in terms of character creation.
  • More lifelike characters - Maya will allow me to make really detailed facial rigs that will allow for some really dramatic facial expressions that are very difficult for me to make now.
  • In the long run, all of the above is what that I really want in my animations.

CONS to switching now:

  • There will be a delay before I am ready to start animating the next sex scene. This could be 2 days or 2 weeks. This is because I will have to redo all the rigs for the characters I am using. That means I will have to remake the way their body bends, flexes, as well as all of their facial expressions.
  • I will have to learn Maya animation from scratch. Though, I will say its not super different from what I am doing now but I imagine there will still be a small learning curve with this which will probably cause a few delays.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone. I really love doing this and I will not stop any time soon. In the end, I want to be able to get as close to making a 3D animated Disney Quality porn movie as I can. I will have to switch to Maya at some point.

Let me know what you think... message me or post here. And, please vote below!

If it will help you speed up the animation process and improve overall quality, I say go for it. I can deal with a delay while you learn the "ins and outs" of maya.

Thanks Mark! It will definitely improve the overall quality in a lot of different ways.

If it speeds up the animation process & overall quality it's definitely worth it to switch now as you'll save lots of time in the long run.

I have had to update my pens to Sakura felt pens to get my manga characters to look like they came out of an actual manga, which is my manga. I feel that you are reaching the next step in your goal, a stepping stone. Keep on being excellent because you are excellent at anything you put your heart to.

Thank you KingZekiel! Its a big step but I am excited to take it.
