Wow this is heavyyyyy. Also, this is Cha Eunwoo's HOTTEST role to date LOL and I can already see it gunning to be his best work in terms of acting.

I don't want to include the synopsis here cause it's a huge spoiler for EP 1 but I was doing some research, found this and thought it was pretty cool: 

Wonderful World is written by Kim Ji-eun, who penned Channel A’s Lie After Lie (2020), one of the highest-rated dramas in Korean cable television history, and also wrote the soapy drama Cheongdam-dong Scandal.

I think that the girl and eunwoo actually work for the congressman, the mission was about finding proof to destroy his opponent. Also i think that the husband is a little suspicious , like what kind of video can pressure you at this point . Sorry for bad english too

Just a little detail you missed I think, is that she had 4 miscariage before having their son. It's a detail but it makes me feel even more for her and why she was ready to give up everything.

So excited that you're reacting to Wonderful World! And you're so lucky that your country has it on Disney+ cuz they are haters and gatekeeping it from most of us, lmao. Anyway, this drama is PAIN but Kim Namjoo is a legendary icon in the kdrama world. I'm glad that Eunwoo got to work with and learn from her, and you're absolutely right that he's looking like a full course meal here.

I hope you continue reacting to this. I am there with you. The drama is heavy but God! It is hauntingly beautiful. Kim Nam Joo is a queen when it comes to drama and Cha Eunwoo here is amazing. I was surprised from the scene 1. Also. the husband is suspicious. He did something shady and that's why the video shook him to the core. Also, even I feel the death was targeted. Also, I think Eunwoo is the child that lost his family to fire. As per the cast, Eunwoo's character is the most mysterious of all. Hint - Watch the court scene where Nam Joo is verdict guilty, check who is among the audience, also check again when police arrest her and media is there and she is on police bus, again look carefully at the crowd. P.S. - Cha Eunwoo looked his best in this drama. I agree 100%. He already became viral in Korea. I am not kidding, there were many topics about Eunwoo eating black bean noodle. The sales of restaurant selling the noodle increased coz all wanted to eat after watching Eunwoo haha

I'm so sorry to hear about your father, but I totally understand this plot being triggering. Thank you for sharing with us even though it's painful. On a brighter(?) note, I don't know if you noticed my buddy Seonyul (Eunwoo's character) at the courtroom scene and outside in the crowd when Soohyun was being taken to prison. Man's been in her business since day 1! He's definitely related in some way to the guy who ran over Geonwoo. Of course, I also think he's the kid who survived the fire set by Soohyun's cellmate, so he is just at the center of every mystery lol. As for what his undercover work is, he works FOR the evil congressman taking out that guy's political opponents - digging up dirt on them, framing them, etc. so that evil man can become president. Naturally, I assume Seonyul actually has a plan to turn against the congressman in the end - or else meeting Soohyun is what will make him turn against evil guy. Then about the gate being closed (or not?), I think the video suggests that someone else may have opened the gate after her. So if Soohyun saw that, she might never let it go and lose her mind trying to find out what happened. Maybe the husband has a mistress who left through that gate, or maybe it would destroy their marriage for her to realize their child was intentionally targeted because of Suho's job, etc.

Omg this show. Ugly crying right now. As a mom who has a 10 year old boy I honestly don’t know what I would have done in that situation. Taking a life is never ok but honestly speaking I think I might do the same thing. So heartbreaking.

So eunwoo works for Congressman Joon, the bad side, they were getting dirt from his political competition basically. They say that school is a good hideout for a money laundering, that's why Eunwoo was tasked to get the book/list.

Yay! What a pleasant surprise! I resubscribed back for this. I didn't have high hopes that you would pick this up because it's heavy. Thank you! On top of the heart wrenching aspects, this is a good thriller/mystery show. They would drop little hints that make you think, wait is that relevant? For example, the boy saying that he drank the medicine all at once. Did he mean he drank more than he should have? Was the dad out of it because of the medicine he was taking? The dad did look suspicious. Was he having an affair? As for the neighbor taking the video of the boy biking, I was thinking if that would be the proof that the FL did lock the door because the phone was aimed at the door when FL was entering. But then so what if they can prove that it was locked? Why would the husband be scared enough to drop the investigation and leave the country? Could it be a video of the mistress trying to sneak out and didn't lock the door? Is the sister the mistress? Still, why would the boy go out. Like you said, there had to be a reason for him to do something out of character. They made it sound like the boy was very dependent on the mom, very sheltered and pampered, probably because he was a miracle baby. As for Eunwoo's character, that's another big mystery. I get that they have a connection now through the lady that caused the fire. I'm actually wondering if he would end up thinking that the FL was the one who committed arson because she had that diary/book of letters addressed to him, and that's why in the opening scene, he looked like he was going to run her over. But that can't be because he knows what she went to prison for. But what was their connection before if he was already interested in the FL before she even met the lady in prison? Could it be the congressman? Because he's working for the congressman, he probably knows what happened to the boy and that's how he felt sympathy towards the FL. Is he working for the congressman for money or to gather proof? But proof for what? What is his beef with him? Is the congress man related to the arson? Maybe something to do with that construction project. When the prison lady told her story, she said she didn't think the fire would spread. I wonder if the construction was faulty and that was what caused the explosion or the fire to spread that quickly. So many questions, but one thing's for sure, I am hooked not just for Eunwoo, but the story line itself is very promising, and acting is superb not just from the FL, but from all the characters.

Hey Jeff. Sorry for your loss. My grandma also had a stroke months ago and struggled so much. Her and my mom were both in the icu at the same time, my mom had pulmonary embolism. My grandma then passed on last Friday. Two days before that, my dad showed warning signs for a stroke and we took him immediately to the hospital. Thankfully we prevented it and now he is in physical therapy. If anyone could understand what you went through, it would be me. I’m so glad that you feel better now and also relieved cause it means I might feel better soon…thank you

Ahhh Jeff, I’m so happy that you got to react to this! Sorry long notes below… semi-answering questions you had with my own thoughts/theories (they could probably be wrong so take them with a grain of salt) 1. I was also suspicious of that lady (neighbor?) in the beginning at the front door! The way they panned to her oddly looking at the mom entering the gate. Maybe she was trying to see the passcode (now that we know the mom definitely closed/locked the door). 2. The scene where that Congressman showed the husband the front gate video... I personally think there is more to the video that we didn’t get to see so we (the audience) are left in the dark as well. I felt like he seemed super secretive/restless when the mom returned from the airport… something definitely happened and really bad to the point where he had decided to give up and abandon his whole investigation and move to the US ultimately… VERY suspicious. 3. Cha Eunwoo & the assistant lady at the end - I believe they’re both working for that same Congressman! They’re trying to find dirt or some sort of leverage from all of their (the rest of those candidates from the round table) lives so they don't get to compete against him? The biggest mystery to me is how Eunwoo ended up working for the Congressman - how he grew up, and why it seemed like he was about to run the mom over… I have no theories on those LOL. Anyways, I really enjoyed your reaction to this, though it is dark but the plot seems really good so far. I hope you get can continue reacting to this!

Jeff first off I am so so so terribly sorry for your loss! I know you are still healing, the healing never stops but keep fighting and doing eveyrthing you're doing right now, you are so strong! I have honestly never cried so much over a kdrama, esp THE 1ST 2 EPISODES, this was truly heart wrenching to watch but the acting was INCREDIBLEEEE mad props, mad story line, and GOD UR REACTIONS to MR EUN WOO, god I die whenever I see him, his looks plus acting r just on a whole diff level this kdrama. But, i agree, I kind of see a plot as to him being the son of the family who died and how them 2 have something against the congressman! We shall see ig!! :)
