You know I just saw I clip on ticktock and went “I wonder if Jeff. Will post this episode? Should I just watch it first?” Them boom notification pop up 😂

Just started but why ar they cutting out hook so much…. You didn’t even see hook mentors react to the ace video. AH HHOOOK my babies. This is the most hook they’ve been. Take full advantage of their creativities. Like they broke through their mental block

Estherlynn Lubin

Definitely! And Kang Daniel had a Korean name but if not wrong he said it was so weird that ppl would make fun of it so he legally changed his name to Daniel

Bella is the youngest and we forget how hard it is for teenagers to interact with people even 2-3 years older than them. And she is in a foreign country, constantly filmed all day and there is a language barrier. Also, Bella and Nika receive too much criticism online and they are actually aware of that hate train (I think Nika responded to some comments or at least made it clear that she reads those comments)... I'm glad she ended up in a very supportive and understanding team.

they're dancing with the masters? congrats jam republic on your victory lol

Not them making it into Nika going home for family emergency. LOL my girl posted on her insta a whole post saying she’s taking a break from social media altogether and going home to take a mental health break bc of the hate messages she got since her mistake the last couple eps... KNETZ straight up bully a child off the internet. They could use this change to address the excessive cyber bullying when it comes to kids on these shows but I guess Mnet ain’t ready for that conversation. Like I get that it’s a competiiiton and you need to be here for yourself but I mean some of these girl, belle specifically, is like 11/12 yo in a foreign country. She came w a whole team of ppl she was close w and a tight support system.. Now they’re all gone…. Can we be fr…like there’s a line when it comes to minors, there should be mental health support and additional accommodations and social media filters in place from the show to make sure they are taken care of. Esp if they’re going to make edits of drama and sensationalize a small moment with dramatic music to make a little kid seems like they’re just lazy. It’s one thing when it’s adults but these are kids. How many kids their age even achieve half of what these girls on this show have…. Let me not even get started on the way No Lip kicked out Eunwoo and blur her out on all their old photos since the split of the groups. The drama this format has created…. Yikes. That said, if anyone like baby Jam, follow them on insta lol they’ve become so close and they post little moments of them having fun in their dorms, going to amusement park together and everything all the time. It’s so cute

One thing with Ria from Jam that I found after I follow her insta is she’s already been under jam republic agency for at least a year or two. They’re listed as her agency and she was at their summer jam camp in Nha Trang Vietnam this past year, even before the show. I was there but didn’t go to all the dates just the few sessions with the SWF 2 girls like bada and Kirsten. I didn’t realize Ria was there too. So at 13 yo, this girl has already traveling the world to be a pro dancer..l truly a whole other level

I’m sorry I know injung has the best expression and power in 1million and everyone talk about her,but I would pick Somin (the tutting girl) as the ace dancer in 1 million. When she dances, my eyes just go immediately to her. She’s so precise and captivating without like that aggressive in your face type of energy. She’s my favorite in 1million. AGAIN jam, 1million and hook are my favs in this damn show. That’s my finale pick. Either 1million and Jam are taking this whole thing home

Julie Pham

Sorry I know I’ve been blowing up this comments section but LOL this show is my new favorite thing after SWF ended. I wanted to understand more the reason a lot of Koreans in the audience and the masters are so emotional bc I feel like I’m missing some meaning they’re expressing and Omg they really took a song that’s viewed as a cutesy happy fun song and express the evolution of between stuck and shackled to break free and own their color and be free. A lot of the movements expressed the lyrics of the song but they put a narrative around it so now it becomes a full story about someone breaking free and own their dream and live their lives. This also mirror their own evolution as a crew as well. I think that’s why it’s so emotional for ppl who got the message in this song for the first time. It’s a song that’s so popular but everyone listen to it in a superficial cutesy happy go lucky song. But when you put it in a story, it becomes a triumphant moment after spending so much time holding yourself back. I think that’s why it was so touching and brought so many ppl to tears. I’m kinda tearing up now that I’m rewatching it with the lyrics translated. - they started being dolls and puppets and tied up before the music start and then lyrics goes open the door you don’t have to follow, you just have to find your path and shine brightly. They go from the opening of the rope looking like a mirror where the others mirroring each other but one of them break through and entangle in the rope to create that message of taking a risk breaking out of the standard that binds and holding on to you. And then one or two of them will do something similar that also match the lyrics as the others dance around them. That creates the tension to be released when the chorus hit and they all break out and dance, the lyrics also goes “That's my life is a beautiful galaxy. Be a writer, the genre is fantasy. A big, big stage will open for me tomorrow, So that is who I am” There’s a few others moments like the lift during that part where the lyrics said if you get lost just fly away, where ever you go will be the way. DAMN I bet a lot of the Korean audience felt like they truly HEARD this song for the first time and this performance brought that out. That’s why that one girl said has this song always been so sad LOL brilliant. Congrats baby Hook. You earned this!

i think that’s definitely the canadian in you but this is a competition you need to fight for that win nice can only get you so far

Bruklyn W.

I think it was just that it was hard to pronounce (apparently even Koreans have trouble with it) so he thought it’d be too hard as a celebrity and changed it to Daniel I believe. Not 100% sure on this but I think so

Missy

When you said that Mnet edit gets repetitive for all of their competition shows, I strongly agree. And I suddenly thought that you should really check out Street Dance of China, they have lots of great performance at competition level. The edits are different so it's refreshing and would give you a change from Mnet show.

For the image, the formation 1MIL is the best, for the story telling, it's HOOK and for the dance quality, the skill, the tricks that's for JAM. Each team has their own color shine brightly in this episode
