It was so nice seeing Trix as a judge this time. He actually has been reacting to all of the battles on his YT channel and also brings on other contestants from SMF to watch them with him and he's always so hype and cute lol!

actually they always do it like that ever since season 1 but they usually restricted it to korean only who can watch not open for global. and also this year the global audiences can participate in voting for their crew too

I wonder if they showed the videos because the static videos are not shown in this episode at all, unlike previous missions, where the full video is shown in the episode (with lots of cuts) and the teams are reacting to them. Mnet probably also assumes people have seen the videos prior to watching the episode for voting purposes (for all the missions). I personally like watching the Youtube, non-cut versions first because I can form a more objective opinion and judgement without any context or backstory (what they struggled with, what they changed, etc) or reactions from other teams or zoom-ins on mistakes or highlights, which can skew one's opinions, depending on the edit. I then adjust my opinions based on what's shown in the episode. For this mission specifically, I don't think it's bad to have seen the static, practice version first because they are different from the live episode version, and the things to critique may be different. The video version felt "made for video" so it was more about choreo, dance quality, composition, etc, while the live version feels more "battle-mode", for an audience, so energy, stage presence, entertainment value, etc are important factors.

The way they’re doing this global audience vote for this round really put the battle group at a disadvantage…..wolf lo performance was made for battle, it takes in the audience and playing to the judges in mind. With just a static shot, it just lost a lot of impact. That global audience weren’t able to see the performance as it’s intended so it feels unfair to even vote on that…. I would have rather seen this ep as it is and then have the audience score reveal next week so the global audience and watch this on YouTube and ahve a week to vote…. Ugh 😑 I get that it’s a new segment so it can’t be perfect but seriously they need to rethink this one. What if it’s wolf lo vs mannequeen next week for battle…. That would be a wild one. I really hope wolf lo doesn’t get eliminated lol I just have a soft spot for them. That said, Mannequeen really doesn’t deserve to rank so low. It sucks but I guess they are competing between the best of the bests. I’m glad wolf lo at least get some comfort from how positive their hwasa challenge was received with the public. It was so nice to see how happy they are to rank 4th. Given how little footage were seeeing of them in the preview, I know chances are either wolf lo or ladybounce will get eliminated first next week but I’m so happy I discover wolf lo through this show. I just love their kooky badass vibe so much.

I think it's a shame that the jersey score is 30 points and the audience score is 70 points in this mission... Because of this, criticism is pouring out that it is a popular vote. I can't help it because it's in the past, but I don't think there will be a ranking reversal for the lower crew, so I think the final episode will end without a big ranking change... Anyway, if you have time, please watch the crew performance video of each crew used in this mission🙏🙏

I really wish that there wasn't an obvious two tiers - the popular groups versus the more unknown ones. I think the weight on audience voting versus judges is waaaay too high.
