I think SM trainees are quite special. I've read before that once you become a trainee they'll provide you with everything. Dorm, classes even food. That's why it's hard to get in. It was also rumored that the team formed even before announcing Taro and Sungchan's departure from NCT. As you can see from the time stamp in the video (where they were practicing), the video was taken last May. So it is right to say that maybe the team was formed second quarter of this year and they've been practicing together (that's why you can see the bond already). Also, aside from being a swimmer, Anton was a cello player.

For SM they actually have a trainee dorm and they have artist dorms. Their last dorm was the trainee dorm and since they're preparing for debut, the'll now move to the artist dorms. They look separate because the way they dorm is that they don't cramp all members in one unit so they separate members in different units/floors in the same building and after a set amount of time shuffle them again in terms of who rooms with who to establish their bond that's why on one of their interviews one of the members mentioned that they really don't have a roommate because it just changes after a period of time. Aespa also has the same case.

U get it wrong, fans ask them who his roommate cus usual a rookie group only got 1dorm and that means they have to roommate so all members can fit in one dorm. In their new dorm they dont have really roommate like their trainee dorm, they have their own room now except anton&sohee (maybe because the dorm only have 3 rooms to share)

Fyi jeff, for SM they have trainee form and Artist dorm. The other trainees use the same dorm together but when they already a fix members they move them to other dorm for themself so they can knowing eo more and manager tell them the schedule like training or anything.

So they dormed all together in 2 different floors but they moved to another dorm I don't know actually why but I assume maybe the new one is bigger because most of them expect sohee and Anton who shares a room have there own rooms in there new dorms. So the old dorm situation was like this. dorm 1: shotaro, wonbin, seunghan, sohee dorm 2: eunseok, sungchan, anton new riize dorm situation dorm 1: shotaro, sungchan, seunghan dorm 2: eunseok, wonbin, sohee, anton I hope this helps.
