Yay! Thank you for this! I hope you will watch Suga and Hoshi Interview too :) You will see the opposite dynamics lol. It is actually interesting to watch these two episodes back to back: first Suga mentioning how Bigbang inspired them, then Hoshi mentioning how SVT were inspired by BTS. As you said, cycle.

I really hope you can react to GD's documentary as well. G-Dragon also has a documentary about his tour and album in 2017, same year as Taeyang's album. While Taeyang's documentary still has a positive vibe, GD's documentary is more depressed since he's so drained with schedules and with Top's marijuana scandal in that year because GD is the leader of the group. GD's a different perfectionist from Taeyang and it's always interesting to see how different those two are but also the best friends

I said it already and I'll say it again. I'm so happy you get into Taeyang. New kpop fan these day don't usually wanna discover old group/artist. And, it'll be great if you could also check out GD too. He is the most sucessful one with solo career beside Taeyang. Idk if u know yet but GD and Taeyang are BEST FRIEND, i mean like reallll bf lol. As I know, they've been friend even before YG. GD is also the one introducing Hyorin (Taeyang's wife) to him. And as an artist, GD is *chef kiss*. Would love to see u get to know about BIGBANG too

that was wonderful Jeff , as a lot of people are suggesting here you need to know about the leader of BIGBANG , G-Dragon aka The King Of Kpop , a real icon and arguably the most influential figure in Kpop ever . G-Dragon has an amazing documentary called Kwon Ji Yong The Act III: Motte Moment of Truth The End .

“We can’t talk about Kpop history without BIGBANG” that’s right. A lot of kpop newbies don’t know about them, but BB pretty much shaped kpop. 1) They were the first to introduce Hiphop and rap to the industry, they made the “rapper” position a thing. 2) They also were the first ones to make “maknae” a popular term. 3. Bigbang is the first one to have official lightstick. G-Dragon designed it. Since then all kpop groups and agencies followed it and now every fandom has their own lightstick.Bang Bong is the first lightstick in Kpop history 3) GD was the very first idol to try colorful hair, one of the things that kpop is recognized for. 4) the very first group that produced and wrote their own music. 4) the first group to break Korea beauty standars. Yes they were consider ugly in the beggining 5) they were the ones that started the whole mini album thing. 5) the first one to be ambassador of a luxurious brands. (GD with Channel) he made airport fashion a thing 6) T.O.P is the first underground rapper turned idol in kpop 7)The first idol group on a large-scale world tour is BIGBANG. Kpop groups were generally able to tour in Asia. BIGBANG was the first idol group to go on tour outside of Asia. Mind you, they did this without the power of internet and social media that now every group has. They aren’t just trendsetters of things like clothes or hairstyles. They made kpop what it is today. That’s why they are called Kings, maybe they are not the most popular, but their impact on the kpop culture is still the biggest.

I think you would like Ringa Linga by taeyang, it’s a dance base song, and it has its dance practice, Also, Jeff so happy you are gonna react to mama 2014. Maybe you can react to Fantastic Baby and Good boy mv before or after. These 2 songs have dance practices. BB aren’t exactly a dance group so they don’t have complex choreography’s but they had their moments. Specially in their debut era.

Everyone already mentioned so much but just adding just in case it wasn’t mentioned, Bailey Sok choreographed Vibe and also when/if you watch Taeyang’s 2014 MAMA performance, just FYI if you want to watch the entire thing, it’s split into two videos on YT.
