I had a lot to add because we finally see a bit of the SMRookies' training stuff! From concert producing to the trio's dancing, we had a lot to cover!

Sorry this was late guys. I had another audition that came up last minute and was due today (Monday) so I had to use yesterday to prep and film.

Thanks for the wonderful insight! It made sense that 127 had different promoters for their American tours. I believe it was Live Nation for LA and NY and Dream Maker for their current tour stops. Although I believe scheduling is still one of the major factors affecting the overall structure of their tour (esp with Mark and Haechan juggling between Dream and 127) Do you know if the same goes for KPOP festivals where multiple artists/groups show up and perform? Europe got a lot of festivals last year but solo concerts were rare.

for festivals, the korean agents would offer a suggested line up to the local promoters and it’s up to the promoters to accept or no. for example there was a lot of festivals offered in manila but because some promoters don’t think a specific group would do well, they would request a change. that would then need to be verified with the kpop agencies before the festival goes through. for the big ones like kpopfest and kamp, normally because you have enough big names on the set list, promoters usually say yes without change. not all kpop companies require the upfront fees as well. and ofc, 2-4 songs per artist is cheaper than a full tour so even if there’s an upfront fee, usually more affordable for investors.

and yes correct (re: livenation and dream maker). i had to double check for livenation after your post cause i was told they don’t work with them but it seems like dream maker is more on asia than the americas.

I’m surprised that you still remember Hansol 🥹. Actually when I watched this episode, I’ve been soft towards Shohei because as a kpop fan for quite a while, I kinda got a hang of the idol’s timeline and tbh, I know that it’s not easy for him. Hansol didn’t debut with NCT despite being one of the older rookies that’s why I think he left and tried for The Unit (imo 🙈). The other fans of The Unit thought so too. I might not know better but I think Shohei would be the first at his age and I’m so ready to boast about it to my other kpop fans friends. I’m really proud of him. 🥹
