I agree with your point about continuing the series it is a really good one. I do hope they eventually do a co-ed version because I think that would be awesome to see.

I think the same with the continuation of Street X Fighter. I personally never enjoyed any idols reality programs especially the one that trainees fight to found a co-group (like Produce, YWY or CHUANG). The professional level is what makes me admired for the competition and this series delivered it.

When the masked versions were uploaded on youtube, the show hasn’t been broadcasted yet so we knew nothing about the crews. The videos were marked as A, B, C..., and we had to guess which team was which (eg: F was Prowdmon and team H was Hook). I think it’s more fun to do the guessing game; still, the masks took away their facial expression so I like the un-masked version better. YGX team had the upper hand because their idea is trendy and the execution is clean af, esp Turns. And I just love Prowdmon as a big family since Brand New Child and IDEA are students of Monika’s beloved students, Kayday and Ham G. It feels like a three- generation crew lol. My fav right now are Brand New Child, MisMolly, and Turns. There are so many good crews, I will be very heartbroken to see some of them go :( Anw, if you want to watch a great co-ed dance competition show, Street Dance of China 3 & 4 is highly recommended lmao. Watching these shows inspired me to practice harder haha.

I remember now, the blond girl from Yeonsal (not sure if I remember the group name correctly) is from Team Hoya in dancing high. She’s team mates with Jisung. She’s either the gold girl or the one painted with white during their Greatest Showman performance.

Thank you so much for the very detailed explanation of all the performances. These high school girls are so creative and skillful. Maybe because they are young, they might be even more creative than the masters. They are not hesitated to try their own idea, youth with no fear and they can absorrd the skill and experience from all masters to perfect their themself. Love them and love your reaction. And I totally agree with you on the synchronization. I'm not a dancer but I always prefer clean and synchronization of performance than difficult techniques in group dancing.

Same. I don’t know if I can go back to watch idols survival show anymore. I tried to watch GP999 but all the performances were just meh for me. I also tried the new MBC show but some of those girls are too young that it didn’t feel right for them to sing/dance to some certain songs, and the performance quality sometimes is so bad I can’t handle it.

I really enjoyed Chuang 2021 and LOUD, but that's because most of the People trying to get into the Groups weren't "just" Trainees but Producers, Professional Dancers, Choreographers ec. Like, Chuang 2021 had both one of Taemin's Choreographers (he also did BoA, Red Velvet ec Chroeos) and one of his best Backup Dancers. Loud basically searched for 2 Groups that would be pretty much self sufficient too. I realized it's not because I think regular Trainees aren't talented enough but because the System they use to judge is usually horrible and the Trainees are naturally not as professional as... Well actual Professionals for the most Part. It's also why I'm obsessed with Street Dance of China. I actually prefer it over SWF if we talk performances.

I used to enjoy watching survival shows, but since SWF has aired, it hasn't been the same lol. I gave gp 999 a try tho and finished it. I'd say there's a lot of great performances on the missions. The auditions however were tedious, with only a few performances that I actually enjoyed. To be honest, I preferred the performances in GP99 over the entire produce seasons. But of course still not as good as swf and this because the girls' dancing skills here are just on another level and they're not as reserved with their personalities because they're not idols lol

I just tried looking for the masked performances on youtube before I continue watching this but I can't seem to find them on the Mnet channel.. does anyone know what words I should look up to find them? Or are those videos privated by now?

They are still on Mnet Channel. But it's not available for other countries. That's why I don't get why they keep on calling it "Global Votes" when they only make these videos available in their own country. Thus, Koreans are the only ones given the chance to view and leave a like (which corresponds to votes) on the said videos. Really unfair for a lot of international fans. But if you want to watch it, I think someone uploaded a reaction video for all masked performances. You can watch every performances there.

I do agree that the unmasked version is a whole lot better. But at the same time, I love that the audiences had to focus more with the dancing itself, the choreography, and the fact that they don't know who these crews are (to be fair) because some crews and specific members of some group were already famous even before joining the show. Plus, they released these videos and ended the voting before the release of the 1st episode of SDGF. Which means the audiences also didn't know which crews from SWF they are under from. So no biases. Like "If I love Prowdmon, I'll vote the crews under them, not because they did great in the mission, but because I love the mentors" kind of thing. So overall, I love what they did for the first mission.

oh, I totally agree on that. The voting was less biased. I'm always skeptical about SWF's public vote, but they did it the right way in this mission.

KLWC (ClueC) is being criticized now by knetz because of what they did on ep5. I'm looking forward for their team too before the ep but, now , just very disappointing .

I actually haven't seen this episode yet, but I did heard a lot of things and saw clips about the issue already. If I'm not wrong, LACHICA is also currently being criticized and is receiving a lot of backlash because it all happened under their guidance. I heard they knew about everything but they tolerated ClueC, thought it was cool, and even defended them saying "it's just for fun" when it's clearly a competition and not a place to do "funny things" like that, very childish and unprofessional. Props to Monika and HoneyJ for calling them out.
