ahh i honestly feel like seojun didn’t get a happy ending, his debut felt bitter sweet. i didn’t expect him to end up with jugyeong (even me being team seojun) since she never really had feelings for him but i expected more to happen for him. they didn’t really go with what the webtoon says the whole series so why not just write off that he gets over her or finds someone else he loves? he was left heartbroken and still pining over her after all those years

eve_ss

I just finished watching your THE UNIT finale reaction earlier and it's already 2AM here now. But then you dropped this and I've been waiting for this!! Well, OKAY! Sleep could wait. This couldn't. HAHA

Anonymous

I’ve managed to scroll past all the True Beauty related posts in my twitter feed just to watch these final two episodes with you, Jeff. Looking forward to what might happen. I feel like I’m one of few team suho members still standing. Although I hope Seojun gets a happy ending too.

Anonymous

also that bandaid scene hurt when she didn’t let him do it because it reminded her of suho </3 the scene with him putting the bandaid on her was originally seojun’s in the webtoon

Anonymous

Considering Jugyeong clearly didn't have feelings for Seojun, in addition to her being super drunk, it would have not been cute at all to me if he had kissed her. It was bad enough that he even tried it, imo. It would be different if she had drunkenly revealed she liked him or something.

Anna M

I wanted to comment first, before your reaction, since I’ve seen the episodes already. I’m satisfied with the ending. They wrapped up all the characters. Seojun got the ending that would be the next best thing since his passion was to continue singing and debut (like in the webtoon too) and was able pay ode to his friend along with Suho supporting him. Yes, he might still be pained by it because it was all still fresh. I feel now he can appropriately move on since he finally confessed and was, unfortunately, rejected. Maybe if another time lapse occurred like a year or something and can see he’s in a better place, we can all feel at ease seeing he’s doing okay. I was still rooting for Suho & JuGeong as the end game. It was always them and I’m so happy they found each other again. I really enjoyed the drama. I cried soooo much and laughed soooo much. The drama was all about love, friendship and redemption of traumatic past

As for what's on his neck, Eunwoo has atopic dermatitis! He talked about it in a vlive awhile back, basically his skin sometimes has a reaction when he's stressed or doesn't sleep well or do whatever skincare routine. Since the last two episodes on TB were up against the clock (they finished filming literally the same day that episode 15 aired), I'm sure he wasn't able to take care of it for the last week.

Anonymous

A hunting pub is where you go to pick up girls! That's why Jugyeong and Sua were mad, lol.

Anonymous

I'm kinda disappointed to be honest, something's missing.

Jenn BL

Thanks Jeff for watching with us! Up next Jaehyun!!

Loved your reactions throughout the drama, Jeff! Even though I watch on my own first, there's always something I missed when I watch with you - whether it be from your commentary or a line that wasn't subbed before. So thank you! I will now be watching Dear M just so that I can hear your thoughts on it! I had a really a really good time with True Beauty, and I'm thoroughly satisfied in terms of being Team Suho. I think the only big change I would have made was have Seojun officially move on in episode 12 (when he planned to throw away the cast but didn't), so that his transition into becoming an idol once more was naturally and believably his happy ending. I'd probably have another side character crush on him so that there could be a romance possibility too, but alas. That way, if we are keeping the time jump, Suho could only think SJ/JG are together and feel sad but really they're just hanging out like normal. I personally thought it was always clear Jugyeong only had eyes for Suho, and that those two belonged together, but I get that the marketing of the love triangle and the refusal to let Seojun move on meant his supporters would be bitter.

Chayan

Because I m not fluent in english, I post a comment from an another person, thanks to her ♥♥ "shabina I.. was disappointed about the ending. Alright, we know suho and jugyeong belong together. Their entire relationship was wholesome. They were perfect. But.. I wouldn't call this a happy ending? Why? Han Seojun. Because a character like Han Seojun exists. If the writers really truly wanted us to be happy about suho amd jugyeong, why on earth was such a well written character like Seojun inserted here? Han Seojun: The most interesting and thought out character, beautifully written. But what happens in the end? They literally broke his heart- as a Seojun enthusiast I am literally not even asking for Seojun to get Jugyeong, but the least they could make out of SUCH A WELL WRITTEN BEAUTIFUL CHARACTER WAS TO MAKE HIM HAPPY!!! How do they expect us to call it a happy ending when they drag out Seojun's feelings till the last moment even till the last scene and make him cry when he's alone? Do they REALLY expect us to be happy after this? Ok, I get it. It was SO DAMN obvious that jugyeong will go to Suho. But does that mean she can completely ignore Seojun despite them being friends? Not once, not even once, did they ever show Jugyeong being grateful to Seojun, even tho he has done SO MANY THINGS for her in silence, he held himself back several times because he wanted jugyeong and Suho to be happy. He's done so much for her but not once did they ever show how Jugyeong felt grateful, and the fact that he acted like he was all fine after getting rejected but cried alone.. I'm sorry guys but I am not satisfied with how they ended the drama with him having feelings for her until THE VERY END. He wiped her tears when he saw her crying, he cared for her feelings. He took care of her when Suho left, he held himself back how much ever he could, knowing she would never like him back. He took down her video, he did so much.. I love Suho too but don't get me wrong, when Jugyeong asked what Suho would've done if she rejected him he said he'd follow her around and beg her. But for when Seojun the same thing happened, it LITERALLY broke him but he still went on to send her back to Suho. He literally cared about her feelings more than his. He is the REAL INNER BEAUTY here. The fact is Jugyeong doesn't deserve Seojun. Jugyeong is a lovely girl but Seojun deserved someone who acknowledged his feelings and wasn't so goddamn oblivious like Jugyeong was. He deserved SO MUCH more than a girl like Jugyeong. Never once did he whole heartedly smile in the last episode. Before suho left to the States, Seojun was ready to move on. You should've let him move on, but no. Drag it for 3 years, get his feeling go deeper. And the way they wrote his confession was unflattering too. Oh god. Writers should've let him move on, should've let him be whole heartedly happy finally. Everytime he hugged her, he LITERALLY knew that she doesn't like him back. Never once did she acknowledge what all he has done for her. My conclusion is: A character like Han Seojun doesn't deserve to be treated as a cliche second lead who'll end up crying and be heart broken. He was overqualified to be a second lead. And the fact that such a beautiful character got a heartbreaking ending, no, I'm not satisfied at all."

Ayeyassha

I get that. She did end up thanking him in that last scene together though, so it is not like she forgot about him. But even if Seojun took care of her while Suho was gone, it would have been weird for her to go to him while she never moved on ya know. I can get why you feel that though. I still really liked his character. The fact that he pushed the two of them together shows how mature and strong he ended up being. That's just how I feel though.

I love rewatching it with you :)

Ayeyassha

I really enjoyed watching the series with you! Hopefully now people will be convinced that Eunwoo is a really good actor haha

Wan Mendes

I’m here before starting to watch because you finally received The Faker Club Hoodie, YES!!! If I could actually afford it I would’ve chose the same one too. Very pretty!

Mari

I really enjoyed watching this drama with you! Overall i think they ended it on a satisfying note, but as a Seojun stan i'm still kinda sad... I knew from the beginning that she would end up with Suho and i am totally fine with that because i do love Suho as well. However, i may or may not lowkey have a big crush on Seojun and he would 1000% have been my choice so it was a bit frustrating seeing Jukyeong not acknowledging him as an option as he always wished for. But at least he got to fulfill his dream of becoming a singer and he will go down in history as the 2nd lead that stole everyones heart! :D

BaoziBang

I'm a flirt drunk too! It's how I met my best friend 🤣

Anna M

So I’m back here after watching it again but with you:) sooo...Eunwoo does suffer from skin atopy, as does MoonBin (MoonBin’s is worse, I think. It’s more common to catch MoonBin tho because he does scratch quite his neck quite a bit sometimes) For Eunwoo, it’s seems to flare up more on some days in that area. I would imagine it can exasperate it if it has to be covered with makeup for a long period of time while they were filming and, therefore left it as so. Thank you for reacting to this series. It was enjoyable to go through the emotional roller coaster with you. I really do hope we see more future projects from the amazing cast

when you started my id i was excited to rewatch it again for the 4th time and see your reactions. this time round i waited for your videos each time to watch along. to be honest i wasnt even sure if i could continue watching the series because of all the things i could relate to within it and it was veryhard series in a lot of ways. if im completely objective, i feel disappointed. having finished it, i feel like seo jun got done really dirty as a character. i feel like, jugyeong was in a lot of pain and maybe there was a window for her to see seojun in a different way, especially considering the way in which her and suho broke up. but, with seojun's character, he never eeally got a chance. im glad he waited and managed to confess, and it showed just how much he cared for both of jugyeong and suho, but it almost felt like that care wasn't quite requieted back to him. also they made him entire arch like you said about debuting, and idk, the whole way jugyeong went back and her and suho cleared things up. i think, when he was following her around, she really seemed like she needed time to herself and she still seemed hurt. so i really dont know how i feel about it all. i've never been in a relationship ether so this is all just my interpretation and thoughts on it. i just think seojun deserved better. anyway, i did find some parts super enjoyable and the characters were great, incredible cast and the ost for this drama has been so wonderful and exciting to see so many artists i like doing a song for.

Anonymous

I agree that she needed time, which is why Suho texted her "I'll wait for you" and then stayed home, instead of confronting Jugyeong over the hug. The reason she went to him was because she thought she was about to lose him - essentially, circumstances pushed her to reveal her choice when she might not have otherwise. If not for Seojun's white lie, Suho would have waited for Jugyeong and paid penance longer.

MinSeo Kim

a hunting means "hunting (girls)," which means pick up...lol In korea, we often use that term...

Ayeyassha

Can't wait to watch the next one with you.

eve_ss

THIS IS SO RANDOM. I'm sorry✌🏻 You could also follow Jugyeong (Moon Gayoung) and Seojun (Hwang Inyeop) on instagram ☺️ @m_kayoung @hi_high_hiy also. they are actually both under the same agency Keyeast Entertainment. It would be nice to see them both work again together! 🥰 another Fun fact: Moon Gayoung was actually under SM C&C before. She had worked with EXO and TVXQ in mini series before too. That's why she's widely known especially by SM stans ☺️ Keyeast is a well known actor's agency in Korea. It's huge! SM bought the company and became the largest shareholder and that's when she transferred there. So technically, she's still under SM. and Hwang Inyeop as well! ☺️ I'm TEAM SUHO btw since Day1 (so happy with the ending 🥰) but I love Seojun too. HAHA actually I love all the casts! so yeah, another project with any of these together again would be great for me. ❤❤

wow absolutely loved these reactions! excited to watch the new dramas with you!! thank you for creating all this content!

Jammie Vuong

Jeff, since this drama is not on cable network, they can't show too passional kiss The Korean National Broadcast will cited the drama if it is not suitable for family time. Only very late hour drama or cable drama will show more passion kiss. That is what I learned when one of my drama got fine for open mouth kiss during family time, I know it is very double standard.

Anonymous

I really loved the ending for Suho. It was so nice to see how Suho was able to become an overall happier person. He reconciled with his dad and was accepted by Jugyeong's family (evident in the marriage talks ahahaha), so he was finally able to have the family he never had while growing up. It also seems like he's no longer blaming himself for Seyeon's death and he can finally heal from all that pain. All the pain he went through (losing everyone dear to him) completely broke my heart, but I could feel his happiness by the end. I cried so much, though, when they were showing the montage of his and Seojun's friendship with Seyeon, but that whole storyline was ended perfectly. Also, the ending scene where it showed the 3 different stages in Suho's and Jugyeong's relationship in the comic book store was BEAUTIFUL, I cried so much. I'm not sure if you watch the additional/making videos of the drama, but the most recent making video is adorable (it's on the tvN drama youtube page). It shows the bts of the wedding scenes. In one scene, Eunwoo was bowing down to the parents as if he was the character getting married AHAHA Then, he and Gayoung were rehearsing as the bride and groom and Semi (Heekyung) called them grapefruit and strawberry!!! He also danced along with everyone up on the stage when they were practicing the choreography! It was honestly so adorable, but it makes me sad because I'm going to miss their characters and chemistry..

Anonymous

I really hope that the producers of the show can make an alternative ending where Seojun ends up winning over Jugyeong.

XSHINeeBAP

Yeah honestly it’s actually annoying because i see a lot of people saying they can’t kiss and that they don’t know how to kiss about Korean actors and actresses but honestly at the end it all depends on what the director wants

Recommending “The Great Seducer”. Red Velvet Joy is the main character

Layla123

So I began watching the show this week because I prefer binge-watching them instead of being able to watch every week lol (my attention span sucks these days) so prior to watching the finale I was already a huge mess of emotions. I began this knowing nothing about the webtoon, and predisposed to Suho because come on it's Cha Eunwoo, but Seojun and Hwang Inyeop stole my heart through the show. NOT in terms of thinking Seojun and Jugyeong should have ended up together, or even that I felt Seojun was a 'better' character than Suho necessarily, just that Seojun was charming and I really appreciated his behaviour throughout. I personally think the ending was fine. Much as I grew to like Seojun while watching the show, I don't think the writers did enough work to ever give Seojun-Jugyeong even a *chance*, and I'm all right with it because the Suho-Jugyeong story was fairly well done anyway. (I wish they'd avoided that 'childhood friends' cliche though!) We knew it was very clearly Suho from the start, and Jugyeong never wavered, so her ending up with Seojun would have felt very random in the end. But I wish Seojun had been developed more, and given more scenes, so his character's ending wouldn't have felt so rushed and also the final choice would have packed more punch. The payoff of Suho and Jugyeong ending up together was good, but because it felt like there was never really a choice that Jugyeong had to make, it didn't feel as satisfactory or punchy to me as it could have been if the triangle was more evenly developed. Then again the love triangle wasn't really what I was watching this for, I'm glad they resolved the Suho-Seojun-Seyeon plotline and Seojun got to fulfil his dream. I liked the supporting characters, like the siblings and their love lives, the family dynamics, Seojun and Suho's friends, etc. I disliked the turn Sujin's character took in the last couple of episodes but it's nice to ese her redeemed. Overall this was a fun drama, even more engaging than I expected it, and I'm glad I watched it and watched your reactions to it!

So you arent even recognise that astro mv cameo( knock, bad idea and blue flame)when seo jun was singing missing you song, whatttt🤣🤣🤣

strange& sleepless

To be honest I did not like Ep 15, It felt really rushed to the point where I kind of disconnected from the drama. I really would have preferred it if they focused on soojin and how she's dealing with being exposed and her story with her dad and all of that, basically a redemption arc for her instead of throwing this whole new plot in for the last 2 episodes. They kind of focused too much on her and her story with her dad for them the end it like this. There were also a few scenes that were a bit off e. g. we never saw Jugyeong tell her mom/family that she's dating Suho If I remember correctly, so it felt weird to see her mom just pick up the phone like she already knew, at the hospital. And if I remember correctly Soojin never told Jugyeong about her father hitting her either. But she seemed to have known when they talked after meeting again. I also thought the way they suddenly cut from them standing at the door to them laying in bed was a little odd. He kissed her neck once and then cut and he's hovering above her in bed. Idk I can't really pinpoint what it is it but something about that transition made it awkward to watch. Overall I think this was a pretty alright drama. A 6 out of 10 for me. What made this drama were the actors and the chemistry between them. I think the plot wasn't THAT well thought trough or realistic and I don't really know anything about directing but I feel like there were a few incidents in which they could have done a better job at making it more realistic. But nonetheless I did enjoy it a lot, as well as watching it with you. It's so fun to fangirl with you together, and the stuff you say about their acting and the bus stuff is always very interesting. Ever since I've started watching dramas with you I've been paying attention to a lot of things I wouldn't have even noticed before when watching dramas. S although I don't think I would have watched the jaehyun drama alone, I'm def. gonna watch it with you.

choco Shine

A lot of here has issue with Suho or Suho & LJK ending together but since beginning I felt that Suho happy ending was love coz he was always deprived of that & Seojun ending was being an idol as he used to envy Suho's richness (he said that to Suho). Considering, how Seojun has happy family, he is not without love. Getting a girl is not happy ending to be honest. Seojun, before he met LJK had a dream to be an idol. Suho, on the other hand always used to seek love & care. I just don't know why can't ppl see that? Is it really important to have a girl? I saw a few abusing LJK for choosing Suho but the whole car conversation highlighted why Suho did that, it also highlighted why Ljk couldn't stop loving him. Both were 18, Suho was going through tough time. It's easier said thn done to have a long term relationship when half of the time you are at hospital, going back & forth to meet your spouse is hard even if you have money. When Suho realised how he couldn't have been with LJK when she was sick, he knew he cannot drag her along with him. Was it right for him to make that decision for both of them? No! But on his part, he was trying to be selfless. He didn't want her to suffer. Suho has been shown as a person who wants solution but his dad's condition was such that that he didn't even know what the solution would have been. Was it right on his part to make a girl wait when he didn't even know for how long? My problem with drama was that LJK forgive Suho too soon. I wanted him to work harder. Another issue with me was Seojun hugging LJK when he could see his discomfort. LJK pushed him also. That force hugging, I didn't like.

mistywolf the dragon rider

Actually Soojin did tell Jugyeong about her home situation, it was the same time she told her that she liked Suho, but I get why that's easy to forget because at the time she seemed to be using it as a way to guilt trip rather than actually wanting to be open with Jugyeong, and after that it was never brought up between them again. I pretty much agree with everything else you said though, these last two episodes felt rushed and didn't really fit with the rest of the show for me. I mostly felt annoyed that Suho expected Jugyeong to go right back to him after not talking to her for a year, and both him and Seojun didn't seem like they were really respecting her feelings. Either way, the actors did a great job and I was still somewhat satisfied with the ending in terms of Seojun becoming an idol and Soojin changing for the better.

I was forced to wait 24 hours before I could watch this with you. I need to be alone when I'm watching because I was laughing with you out loud. In episode 15 my heart clenched and episode 16 fixed it. As a drunk I'm quiet until I get to this point and then I'm emotional. I don't show my emotions that much normally so when I'm really drunk I let everything out.

Anonymous

Okay, after watched for the third time... Yeah, there's something missing. The acting was great, but the writing.. it was too forced for me. They tried to wrap it up everything in a short amount of time, and end up missing a lot. Like the real reason why Seojun decided to be a idol, he wanted to give a better life for his family and his girlfriend (what Jugyeong is on the webtoon). I really like the drama, but Seojun ending was kinda miserable, I am really disappointed. THE WORLD DON'T DESERVE SEOJUN!!! To be honest, I believe that if I didn't read the webtoon, it would be fine. But I'm mad because now I know that it shouldn't end like that. And I may add that the cast is perfect, they did a great job choosing them. And I was really cool to watch again with you, it's good to know that I'm not the only one freaking out with a kissing scene, or crying my eyes out during a emotional scene.

Julian

Are you going to react to TOP MANAGEMENT with EunWoo?

Anna M

Although that was good too, if any other Eunwoo drama he decides to watch, I’m hoping for Rookie Historian

Samantha

Jeff my number one (non-acting related) main question: DID U BUY THE PHYSICAL OST?! (bc i did and it's super cute!!! defs recommend!)

Samantha

If they ever did do a season 2 I'd personally throw my plot idea in the ring of a seojun focused season where he gets to shine as a rookie idol and what all he goes through with that. Maybe add in a few new cast members for some new plot lines and have suho and jugyeon as side characters and they could even focus in on the younger siblings' plot lines as well. Do more of a spin off than a true season 2 at least. I just think the cast they have is too talented to let go of just yet!

Layla123

I would love something like this! I just really like Seojun's character and in general all the interactions like the sibling dynamic, the friend groups etc., I would like to see more of that if something like a season 2 ever happens.

SB

Jeff the other dramas you have in programs are all kind of the same genreee :( ! I think it is so nice to try different things with k-dramas because there's a very big range of amazing stuff!! I think you would really like both the acting and the writing in FLOWER OF EVIL, it has a bit more action than the typical k-drama but it still has a very good romance plot! I REALLY SUGGEST ITTTT

Anonymous

Hey jeff I love your reaction I usually don't comment but I think you'd like the drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay

Anonymous

Hi Jeff, will you be reacting to Eun-Woo's True Beauty OST "Love so Fine"? :)

Shallum Moueza

Can you react to Extraordinary you or Sweet home next pls?

Anonymous

a reaction to their interview at tvn and vogue that wuld be so cool. this trio has such a great chemistry

Ayden

It was nice to watch the drama again along with your commentary. I hope you'll consider watching Rookie Historian Goo Haeryung in the future. I think it's Cha Eunwoo's best role and acting. (And the kiss scenes are better too).

Anonymous

It would be awesome if you reacted to some of the behind the scenes footage so you could explain some of it!

Samy

Honestly I loved this drama and I was sooo happy Suho got the happy ending he deserved after all the hardships in his life, yeah that last two episodes felt a bit rushed but that's what happens when the drama's have a 16 episode time frame but they didn't do too bad tbh in the 2 episodes they wrapped up almost if not every storyline maybe not the extent we'd like it but they at least did, yeah I agree agree kissing thing is annoying but I think it depends on the directors too tbh and the networks because these 2 actors can obviously properly kiss also definitely because this drama was for a younger audience but at least we got a decent amount. Also at first watch I didn't like Seojun but watching it with you made me like him a lot actually but even from the beginning I knew he was the second lead so I had no expectation of him getting together Jugyeong plus I loved Suho from the beginning and related to him more so I was happy with the ending for sure, definitely one of my favourite dramas, the cast was exceptional!

Anonymous

Hi jeff! I recommend you to watch "tempted". You can find it on viki. I really love that k-drama and it will be so nice if you react to it. Also Joy from red velvet is the main character and she is such a good actress!

ive enjoyed your reactions to True Beauty!! can you pls react to "extraordinary you" you will recognize many cameos from true beauty and also the drama itself is soooo good :))

Greetings from Year 2022! New Patreon here on Jeff's account and wanted to see how he reacts to dramas since his content is more kpop centered. I enjoyed rewatching Gangnam Beauty with you then decided to watch True Beauty after I was done with GB. I really like your take on scenes and cinematography! I wish you'd do more dramas and broaden your Patreon content so you'd have audiences from both Kpop and Kdrama fans! I just finished Watching ROOKIE COPS and it was awesome!! You need to react to it Jeff! The cinematography alone is worth the time how much more the story line, the squad and not to mention all the eye candy (both for men and women 😉)! Hoping I can rewatch it with you soon!!!
