OMG I was soo excited to see your reaction to those emotional and amazing episodes!! I am definetly team Friendship between Seojun and Suho! I personally fell in love with Seojuns character so much more in those episodes!! He is the best friend I could imagine to have and I really hope he will be happy at the end of this series :)) and the fact that In Yeop is actually 7 years older than Eunwoo and only started acting in 2017 is soo unbelievable to me! He is sooo good :D

Anna M

Agree! I see him in a new light, despite his feelings for her, he isn’t trying to sabotage it on purpose like Sujin. I get why they were best friends before all the loss of their friend. I do hope it ends well for him too in this series

BaoziBang

Haven't watched the episodes yet because I wanted to suffer with you after seeing some spoilers (I also read the webtoon)

YES for Eunwoo's acting. I don't stan astro Im a casual listener and Im really critical about Idol actors cause sometimes they get main roles just because the're already famous. My first drama with Eunwoo was "My ID is Gangnam beauty" and he played a cold emotionless character there so when this drama statred I was like "here we go again maybe he can't act well emotions". But this role made me love him as an actor. I don't think he can't deliver emotions, I think his acting is just subtle compared to most kdrama actors(who act pretty extra) and that makes it more realistic. No unnecesary screaming or too much facial expressions. Sometimes people forget that he portrays an introvert lonely teenager who is seriously hurt and has trust issues because of his father. Of course he is not gonna be funny or expressive as Seojun who grew up in a healthy family and has a completely different charatcer. That scene where he confronted his father blew me away. It was the best acting we've seen from his in this drama.

These episodes had so much emotion, omg. Eunwoo blew me away too in the scene where Suho confronts his father. Sujin is breaking my heart because we've seen how kind and independent she can be, so it hurts to see her reduced to this. The fact that we keep going back to her dad and the fact that her home is not safe for her, though, makes me think there's still a chance for redemption and a happy ending involving being free of her father. Getting a full-on minute kiss for Suho and Jugyeong? THANK YOU, KDRAMA GODS. Too bad poor Jugyeong got "exposed" in the very next scene. I'm hopeful that Sua at least is only upset Jugyeong didn't trust her, and that they will mend fences next week and stand up to anyone else who tries to hurt her.

ana

That scene with suho and his dad really got to me emotionally, and the way how eunwoo delivered his emotions like that was impressive. I definitely don’t know much about acting but eunwoo did such a good job in that particular scene and deserves the recognition. What i also want to mention is seojun defending jugyeong’s bullies was truly satisfying and I’m glad he put them in their place. I honestly would’ve been upset if the writers changed seojun’s perspective of jugyeong in the drama since in the webtoon he did not care about her bare face.

tatiana

here’s a fun fact about that hospital scene where all their friends went to visit them: seojun mentions that 'yeo ha jin' is shooting a drama in the hospital to try and get the guys to leave right?! Well....that “actress” is actually moon gayoung's character in 'find me in your memory' 😂 I thought it was a really cool/cute little detail that they added ☺️ Also, you should watch the behind the scenes videos that they have for the show, they’re so much fun and you can see how much chemistry all the actors have! This channel has the ones from ep5 til ep11 (will probably add ep12 soon) with captions: https://youtube.com/channel/UCfnUN1KhEDw-nViCdp5OcQA

Shia

Eunwoo's acting is really good!!! Ngl, I wasn't a fan of his acting in gangnam beauty but he improved TONS here that i became emotional too when he did:" And I feel like there are already too many scenes of Seojun looking painfully at Suho x Jookyung moments, it's very unnecessary. Like is there any need to hurt him that much, writer??? We get it, he's jealous. No need to copy+paste it several times?

jeff: thank you for the maturity!

I was waiting for your reaction. And I would have loved for you to replay confronting with the father and explaining everything in frames. But at the end where she had fear in her eyes I noticed that Eunwoo had kind of similar fear in his when she pushed him away and right after it there were hurt. This casting is really good. And your explanations and experience in the field makes it more amazing.

Episode 11 for me was the best episode far. I loved it coz it kind of put an end to Suho & Seojun misunderstanding. Allowed Suho to express his repressed emotions. Gave chance to Suho & LJK to apologise to each other. Also, I really liked how Suho was seeing everything when he hit by the car like you know what he was thinking. It was beautifully done. I think episode 13 & 14 will deal with LJK accepting herself & 15 & 16 will be to tie loose end. When I watched seyeon reading hateful comments, all I could remember was Twitter. I have seen how ppl are so insensitive. So, I could relate. Again awesome reaction jeff

It has kinda become tradition for 16 episode dramas to have a major crisis between the main couple at around episode 12 before they get back together.

My Astro bias is Moon Bin so did not really focus much on Eun woo. I’ve watched a couple of things he was in and thought he was pretty good. This drama he is an absolute stand out! His eyes tell the story and the emotion so well! Pretty incredible drama and definitely better than I expected.

Yes it does work, when someone has a panic attack and they breath too fast, it causes the body to lose carbon dioxide. And breathing into a paper bag makes you rebreath your exhaled air which helps put co2 back into your blood. But it's not an ideal method and doctors usually won't recommend it.

Fatima

I just found out that this is the younger brother's first role. He's doing so well for this being his first job and he's definitely gonna get more opportunities after this show.

jeffavenue

oh i would but i didn’t want to break the tension and flow of the episode too much lol. i don’t think there was much else to say besides what i mentioned about eunwoo’s acting shortly after. i think the only thing that i would’ve added was that the dad wasn’t that convincing. i haven’t been impressed by him tbh and it’s very “actor-y.” eunwoo ate him up in that scene LOL. and i agree about jugyeong’s scene in the end. it truly felt like it was the end of the world for her. amazing cast indeed!

jeffavenue

oh damn! that’s amazing! and yes he’s definitely gonna get more popular after this. i followed him on insta! nation’s little brother lol

strange& sleepless

I'm really hoping that Sua is only upset because jugyeong didn't tell her about dating suho and not because of her no make up face. I hope she can at least have one good girl friend. I mean why does it matter what your friends look like? I really don't want another conflict between suho and jugyeong, cause it kind of would just be the same thing all over again and also a little too chliché or expected. I really hope this can deepen their bond even more and she'll rely on him. I'm really curious where this is gonna go considering that we have 4 episodes left.

Doyoungismyult

The only reason you are team Suho is because you like Eunwoo lol. If you would have gone into this drama not knowing any of the actors you would probably be team Seojun just like everyone else lol

1:09:44 the person singing the song is Ha Sungwoon. He is a member of Wanna One (now doing solo). Also one of padding squad (Taemin, Kai, jimin, Ravi, timoteo).

Your reaction to the kiss scenes is such a mood AHAHAHA I kept finding myself yelling "go for the kiss! go for the kiss! THERE WE GO, THANK YOU" every single time they were close to each other and the music started to play. Suho and Jugyeong are so cheesy and cute together, I love them so much. Every single scene of theirs together made me so jealous of their relationship because it's so damn ADORABLE. It just sucks that every single time we got a cute, romantic scene, it was followed up with a sad, devastating scene.. the director really really wanted us to suffer with the emotional rollercoaster. ALSO! The Sujin and Suho scene with the necklace had me shocked. I thought that Sujin wouldn't show her true colors to anyone, but she showed it to Suho of all people. It's sad though that while everything seemed to be going well for Suho, he has now lost another friend. His "are you really the Kang Sujin that I knew?" made me sad.. even if they weren't that close, they had been friends for 10 whole freaking years and I'm sure Suho valued their friendship, but it suddenly ended because of Sujin's actions. Her sadness and jealousy was understandable but her actions went waaaay overboard. At this rate, I'm not even sure how her character can be redeemed. (ALSO!!! WHEN SHE TRIED TO KISS SUHO, I WAS IN ABSOLUTE SHOCK, LIKE HOLYYYY WHAT WAS SHE THINKING???)

BaoziBang

Chani killed it in episode 11. We don't see much of Seyeon but the way he portrays him makes your heart hurt so much. You really should check out some SF9. Especially if they really go on Kingdom.

this comment kinda meh. but its okay that's your opinion.

eve_ss

The trauma of bullying victims are really unimaginable. The scared look in Jugyeong's eyes tho 💔 Transforming into a "new" person will definitely not erase your past experiences and the pain it caused you. But I'm glad at least she have Suho and Seojun support now. It's really sad to know that this happens in reality too 😢 Shame on all these bullies who exist in this world!!

eve_ss

Yes! I used that too sometimes. (If I don't have my inhaler)

I'm following the drama with you and it's really good because we have the same reactions and it's like i'm not watching alone hahaha

Just thought you might find it cute (I did!) that in the behind the scenes for the kissing scene in episode 12, the director basically told Eunwoo that the only thing he had in mind was that Jukyeong had to somehow end up on that specific wall but that everything else (how he grabbed her hand and the kiss) was up to Eunwoo. And then shortly after the scene was taken, the director complimented Eunwoo for the scene and Eunwoo got very flustered and shy and was so cute! Your reactions are a joy to watch, as always, and this is something that I look forward to every weekend. Thank you! :)

Eunwoo is so good I cry every time he cries

As a theater teacher I find dramatic shows like this so interesting to pick apart the acting because truly finding that line between realistic and melodrama is actually really freaking hard as an actor, ESPECIALLY on film! Frankly all of the lead actors do such a good job in this show without making it cringy (expect when it's supposed to be lmao) and the subtlety in their acting makes me go nuts and I just want to write essays about it. Also, with the crying thing really anyone can learn how to cry on command but to cry realistically and with an actual emotion behind it (sadness, anger, frustration, fear, happiness, etc.) really takes skill and time to perfect that skill. (I should know, I once infamously messed up a crying scene on stage while CRITICS/PPL MAKING AWARD NOMINATION DECISIONS WERE WATCHING!!! I'll never be over it lol.)

MD

One of my favourite parts of the show is how we get to see two somewhat similar characters handle their one-sided love in completely different ways. Both Sujin and Seojun are in a situation where the person they like doesn't feel the same, they have had hard pasts (even if in different ways). On one end we have Sujin who is overtaken with jealousy and willing to hurt her friends because she feels slighted, whereas we have Seojun who understands that just because he has feelings for Jukyung she has no obligation to him. Even when he was on bad terms with Suho he didn't let the main reason be his feelings, rather it was the misunderstanding over their shared past. While Sujin is willing to blame Jukyung despite having admitted that she was friends with her. Both the actors do such a great job of portraying these characters. I loved Park Yoona's character in My ID is Gangnam Beauty and I'm so glad to see her do such a good job here! PS. Jeff watching your reactions to this show is everything!! I'm glad I wait for you to post before I watch the episodes!

I do love the drama, but it's so different from the webtoon. I'm team Seojun on the webtoon, but I'm team Suho on the drama.
