What timing I just finished both of them they thought ill hate hyunbin when the one playing him is Taeri fvjvffdndvjnv the thing with Taeri is whatever role he plays I still freaking love him...... yeah ik I'm a simp ;) look Tale of the nine-tailed he played Imoogi and he was still my 2nd fav character coz I love him and the way he plays his characters idk there's smth [also STAN MY MAN KIM BUM THE LOVE IF MY LIFE okay sorry ill calm down....] back to True Beauty, the references are killing me .. so far it's so good I'm team Suho uk but Seojun has been always killing me even in the webtoon (btw I noticed many new things in the drama and things that didn't appear from webtoon) so I'll still root for him and he is sssssssssoooooo freaking hot ..okay stop. anyway, also the scene with the building... omg... I was already crying because I relate to Jukyung sm but then when Chani appeared bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh I was gone ..my heart couldn'ttake it... True Beauty so far is very good and I love the fact that is bright, funny but also very sad and dark 😔 (reminds me of someone 👀) excited for the rest! love you Jeff, and sorry for the mess that is this comment I shall now start to watch ur reaction.

I love the webtoon and I’m very happy with the casting! Actually all the True Beauty fans know what the author took inspiration from BTS’ Jin for Suho’s looks but I’m quite excited with Eunwoo taking the role. Hwang In Yeop though – THAT was perfect PERFECT casting. He looks exactly like what I imagined Seojun in my head.

I really do like the casting! I really did expected Eunwoo would be Suho because a lot of fans already did a comparison before they announced the drama remake. I'm actually expecting Kwon Hyunbin for Han Seojun since he is a model and singer/rapper in real life like Seojun and there are some comparisons also. BUT I REALLY LOVE THE FACT THAT HWANG IN YEOP IS HAN SEOJUN! I really liked ever since I saw him on his debut webdama, W.H.Y and on 18 Again, the korean drama remake of the american movie, 17 Again.

I don't know if it'll let me edit my comment as I go, haha, but the OSTs in the first 2 episodes are "Call Me Maybe" by SAya (the only one available now) plays when she gets her makeup done for real. "How Do You Do" by Chani from SF9 (he plays the dead idol/friend) is what Suho (Eunwoo) is listening to on the roof. "I'm In The Mood For Dancing" by Yuju from GFRIEND plays when the girls go hang out and when Suho saves Jugyeong at the end of ep 2.

some people watching this drama might think the bullying is dramatic or unrealistic but stuff like that really happens in korea and it’s maybe even worse :( that’s why there are so many kdramas revolving around bullying

I am honestly happy with the way the drama is going so far ! I remember reading the webtoon a year or two ago but eventually stopped so I was actually very excited when I first heard it was going to be a kdrama. I personally think eunwoo is perfect for this role, same goes to hwang inyeop as han seojun..I was worried at first on how he was going to portray the character but after watching the episodes I was definitely satisfied! I can’t wait to see how the rest of this drama will turn out.

As for how Suho figured out that Jugyeong was the same girl, I think it was because we never saw her physically remove the "thank you for keeping my bare face a secret" post-it from the bag. so he probably saw it when he looked at the jacket.

The director of the drama actually said that Eunwoo was the first choice for Suho by both the director and author of the webtoon herself. The inspiration for Suho is debated though. She recently said that she drew Suho while thinking of Eunwoo, but fans of the webtoon are saying that she previously said that she took inspiration from Jin (I didn't know about the webtoon until Eunwoo was in talks for the drama, so I'm unsure about this). Regardless of who inspired the character, we're all lucky that Eunwoo agreed for the role! As for Gayoung, quite a few people aren't happy about her casting... while some are saying that she's too pretty to be made ugly, others are saying she isn't pretty enough for the role, which I think is absolutely ridiculous since she's BEAUTIFUL :( She's also a great actress and I think she's been perfect so far!

Eunwoo didn't use any stunt double for the jiujitsu scenes! He did them himself. He has been learning jiujitsu since a while.

Although the set they used is most likely not the same, I think the reason why you found it similar to Extraordinary You might be because both are directed by the same person!

I just remembered that in the relationship chart released on tvN's twitter, there's supposed to be an unrequited love line between Suho and Sujin (Yoona's role)!! It's supposed to be Sujin liking Suho!! I just wanted to mention that in case that's something you want to keep an eye on. I completely forgot about it until the last scene where Sujin's reaction to Suho covering Jookyung with his jacket was specifically shown. I wonder how exactly that's going to play out since Jookyung and Sujin are close friends.. That'll probably add way more drama later on.

I don't know what but i read a korean article where it was written that author was inspired by eunwoo when she drew Suho. In her insta story too an year back she wrote that during fendi party she couldn't meet male God, Cha Eunwoo. Anyway, both director & author said that the first choice for Suho was eunwoo though. The casting is good. I had different person in mind for Seojun but inyeop is doing good. I have read the webtoon & my love is always Suho. So, I was happy to know Eunwoo is portraying Suho. Like your sis said that Suho was not this rude but he was cold &: loner. Director deliberately added more personality in his character. But not to worry, he will be sweetheart in the future. In webtoon, I disliked LJK, but thankfully, in drama she is better. In webtoon, sujin was a bitch, but here she is good. I am actually hoping to see Suho & Seojun bromance. I love Suho's Jitsu scenes. You can see pain in Eunwoo's eyes... Eunwoo is hardly sleeping. He has so many schedules. He is sleeping maximum 3 hours a day. May be that's why he looks tired. He did practice Jitsu too. Currently, he is a permanent member of a variety show, is shooting true beauty, has n number of magazine shoots, cfs shoot, cfs events, mc, fanmeeting. He doesn't even have time to breathe..

I have to correct your sister as some things in the first episode also happened in the webtoon. Yes they changed up some things, and added new things, but it does follow the story. To say none, is not true.

In the webtoon, Eunwoo's character had a shirtless scene so..... could be a reason why he worked out. Also, would like to say that the first 2 episodes had a lot of things from the webtoon. They either kept it identical or would change it up a little, but if you read the webtoon you would be like okay this is that part of the story.

I was lowkey hoping he would recognize that Se Yeon( the guy who died) was Chani from SF9 but its okay, I would have been more surprised if he did.

I do like the webtoon as it is but I have to admit I really liked the way they arranged the story for the drama. It gives some of the characters a lot more substance and I like that I might not be able to predict exactly what will happen scene by scene just because I already read it

I think because his character is supposed to be good at jiu jitsu, in the drama. People who practice martial arts, have bulkier bodies.

I was actually so glad that Moon Gayoung got the role of Jugyeong on this series! She deserved it and I know that she's a real good actress so I'm sure she will nailed it! 🥰 The thing was, the fans already have someone different on their mind to play the role and that's why it got mixed reactions from netizens. but TBH, they really did great on casting! I never thought about it before, but when they announced it, I just realized OMG yeees she fits the role! 😍😯😳 Lee Suho's role was perfectly made for Cha Eunwoo so ofc it's spot-on! ❤ This have similarities with his role with Gangnam Beauty but like more mature and have more depth in character I believe. I'm so glad Eunwoo got the role! ☺️ For Han Seo Jun's character, I have no doubt with Hwang In yeop because he's a great actor too! just based from his recent drama (18 again) where he played a "bully" role and also have some similarities with SeoJun's character here, so I'm sure he would nailed this as well! ❤☺️

I like the actors in this drama so much especially Moon Gayoung but I really don't like the story. I have read the webtoon and it is so childish and messy like there is no story at all so I got board. I watched the first episode of the drama because I liked the actors and I hoped the drama would be different from the webtoon in terms of how childish it is but it seems to be the same so sadly I won't be watching it I guess 😔

This show wasn't in my To Watch priority list but since you're reacting to it already, I decided it's a good thing to watch your reaction vids then :) I like the actresses. Moon Ga Young since I saw her side character in Live Up to Your Name and of course Park Yoo Na in MIIGB... Passed Ep1 and I think this drama was nice so far. I have no idea with the webtoon or the plot so I can't comment on if it's at par or above the expectations. But I'm enjoying it... Also, I'm glad to see a diff role for Eun Woo. A stronger character with deeper backstory.
