omg when i first watched this episode this is exactly what i thought about jay's team performance. although i thoroughly enjoyed it as if it was a comeback or something like that. also the thing about mont doing fever on peak time, their performance was more effective imo bc it was like the first round (audition type) and most groups are probably going to stick to idol songs but a duo pulling a jyp song has that surprise factor and the judges have never seen this group before. for jay's group of course it was good but it didn't feel like the right song for this round. to put it into perspective jay and bitsaeon's dangerously felt much more like a competition song and it also gave something new which was a good choice for that round. overall it wasn't the worst song choice but i feel like with their diverse capabilities they could've done something different.

I was so happy that a BTS song was chosen, but as you stated, their songs are very hard to cover. They did well, but I think it took too long for the build up. Either way, I need my guy Donghun to make it to the final four; he's just so good! Also, my final four picks are split between Jay and Je Up's teams so I have no idea who I'm voting for.

My understanding is that after this round is the semi finals, then the finals. So maybe these teams last until the finals and then it's a free for all (maybe solo performances since we haven't really had that). But, if these are the final teams then I agree with you about it being a wasted opportunity. My final picks are Jay, Je-up, Donghun, & Soomin. However, if top tiers can't be on the same team then this could never happen :(

Very excited with Jay and Je-up's team!! The only downer on this for me is that Neon wasnt included in the Build-up Pass. I really wish he would have made it. Unlike the others, he doesnt have an idol grouo that he can fall on and so this is one of his biggest opportunity to excel and show his talent. It really is just too bad. Jay really didnt belong in Wumuti's team. It felt like instead of soaring, he kinda got stuck with that team's identity so I was happy he disbanded. Looking forward to the performances next week.

I find in every survival show its Jimin's part which is hard to cover and there's both how unique his voice sounds and how hard his parts always are , they did a great job though.

From what I know is that the final group will not be the groups they are currently in. From my guess, I’m guessing that since 1 team will be eliminated during this round and since 4 teams will remain after the round the top tiers of each group will be chosen to be in the final debut line up or we get to vote in each group who we want to be in the debut group

For Je ups decision i agree with him, first of all u need to see how you work with others maybe it's even better and second we already seen them together so many times it would be hard to amaze listeners

I would vote for Partners coz Jeup is my one pick since Day 1 ☺️ I believe he plays his role very well in this competition, not just in terms of his vocal but also for the performance planning aspect. He’s also funny and always makes unexpected jokes 😂 He leads his team very well so far, from the line distribution and the overall performance. I still remember in The Unit, he’s not this active when it comes to planning the performance. Maybe because at that time, there are more older and experienced contestants than him. He has learned and grown so much over the years. I also find Soomin’s team interesting and a breath of fresh air. Their chemistry is amazing and they are super cute and talented too. They will be a fun group to watch. Seohyung and Haram add more flavours and balance to the group. At the same time, I love jay’s group too. Idk. It’s hard to choose. Maybe the best thing Mnet could do is by debuting at least 2 groups instead of just 1. 2 groups with different identity of course.

Wumuti is such a good teammate. I like the way he feels like the link in the group. I think the fever song can be competitive and quite difficult to keep up the note bc of the fast Rhymth. That said I think at the end this can be a lot more competitive if they do more high runs and vocal blend in the last verse. May be even rearrange it to cut the music and go into like a low scatting type of blend in the last bridge then up to the last repeated chorus that would be sick. This type of songs are my jam and it can be so fun and difficult with more arrangements to amp it up more. That said given their opponents, I think they still did great.

not sure how they'll do it in this one but there's another survival show with a similar concept called phantom singer (jtbc audition program aiming to pick a male crossover vocal quartet) and in that one they also made the teams similar way mid-show and had the same teams until the end. the previous rounds in this show have been really similar to phantom singer so i wouldn't be surprised if they stick to that and these are the final teams- personally i don't really mind, these teams work pretty well for me :D
