X (エックス) - Tunnel Scene 🌌 Acapella

An original a-cappella arrangement of Tunnel Scene from X (エックス, Ekkusu), released for the Game Boy in 1992. Even though I've never played this game (it was only released in Japan), the first time I heard this song I immediately imagined doing an A Cappella version. The game started as an experiment in doing 3D graphics on the Game Boy, and in a major way influenced the creation of the original Star Fox for the SNES. Nintendo included remixes of this song for Smash Bros. Brawl, Smash Bros Wii U, and Smash Bros. Ultimate. This arrangement got way bigger than the original four-track Game Boy version of the song! I left out several video tracks, but you can still see the main ones. You'll have to use your imagination for the arpeggios...it was a nightmare to try and sync those up. For this expanded arrangement, I took inspiration from a few Famitracker versions done by fans of the game. Like most of my acapella projects, I could have kept going and going on this one, adding more to it, refining the arrangement even more...eventually I had to say "it's done!!".
